This is a very special moment for me. For a long time I have been
a producer trying to convince the people into accepting me as an artist
and I hope this has done it.

Drama: And the winner is Kadam (Breast Cancer) - Sohail Tatari
Sohail Tatari: I am really happy. This is my first award. The pilot
for this serial was made eight years ago but no channel was willing to
telecast it till Sahara came along.I am happy that finally the hard work
and all the efforts behind it have been appreciated.
Atul Tiwari: We have been working as a team for many years. The pilot
was made way back in ’92, but no television channel was ready to
accept the concept of such a serial. We thank Sahara, who saw the idea
behind it and aired it. It feels great and really satisfying.

I feel on top of the world. It’s such a great feeling. My hard
work and the efforts of my writer Sujit Sen and director Indranil Goswamy
have been appreciated. It has given me great encouragement and I am motivated
to do more work, good work, that will fetch me more awards like this.
I intend getting into films now, which I hope will be as appreciated as
my TV work.

How do I feel ? I wish I was there to receive the award on behalf
of each and every member of the KBC unit from the team of Synergy and
Star, together with our anchor par excellence, Amitabh Bachchan. I’m
honoured that the Screen Awards jury should have selected KBC for the
award. But at the end of the day, the best rewards are the work itself
and the
incredible response of the viewing public.
