Loudspeaker yet to begin
Loudspeaker, the Mammootty-starrer directed by Jayaraj, is all set to take off. Produced jointly by Moser Baer Entertainments and Jayaraj, the film tells the story of a farmer living in a hill-side village who likes to talk loudly all the time. It’s after a long- time that Mammootty and Jayaraj are coming together. They had teamed up only once and that too years back, in Johny Walker, which was Jayaraj’s third film. Gracy Singh would be the heroine and would be playing a nurse named Annie. Ranjith will be in charge of the script.
Mammootty in Jagadeesh film
Mammootty would be playing the lead role in the debut directorial venture of Jagadeesh, one of the most popular Malayalam actors. Jagadeesh, who has proved himself to be one of the most loved comedians in Malayalam, is also a well-known scenarist and is a multi-faceted personality. Jagadeesh’s debut directorial venture will see him donning the role of the scenarist too and will be produced by Ajayachandran Nair. The film is likely to start rolling early next year.
Navya in Rasikkum Seemane
Navya Nair, who has migrated to Kollywood from Malayalam and is getting busy in Tamil and Kannada, will be playing the heroine opposite Sreekanth in Rasikkum Seemane, directed by Vidhyadharan, the very same film which was earlier announced as Ettappan. The cast also includes Aravind Akash, Bose Venkat, Mayilsami, ‘Kadhal’ Thandapani, Satyajit, ‘Gajini’ Rajesh etc while director Vidhyadharan too plays a key role. The film has music by Vijay Antony.
Sasikumar in Nadodikal
If Sasikumar, who directed and acted in Subramaniapuram had invited director Samuthirakani to do a key role in his maiden venture, now Samuthirakani makes his next film with Sasikumar in the lead role. The film Nadodikal has Ananya (who had acted in Malayalam as Ayilya) as the heroine and Vijayan, Bharani, Nivedhitha, Abhinaya and Ganja Karuppu doing key roles. Nadodikal, as the name suggests (Nadodikal means Gypsies), is about four men and two women, who are forced to wander from place-to-place like gypsies owing to a strange twist in their fate. S.R. Kathir does the cinematography for the film, which is produced by the Mumbai-based Global Infotainment Pvt Ltd.
Suriya sings for Singam
Tamil star Suriya turns crooner with Singam, his forthcoming film. Suriya it seems is not ready to be left behind when many of his friends and competitors in the industry are making news singing songs. If Simbu (Silambarasan) goes about singing songs for many of his movies, Vikram too has sung for his Kanthasamy, which is all set for release. Suriya sings in Singam, which is directed by Hari and which has the young star playing a dare-all cop. The film is in the making and has Anushka as the heroine.
