First runner up of Miss World Parvathy returns home Agencies

Mumbai: Mumbai girl Parvathy Omanakuttan, who was crowned the first runner up of Miss World 2008 contest held at Johanesburg, returned home in the wee hours today.

Family and friends welcomed Parvathy at Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport at 2.30 am.

The 21 year old beauty queen, originally from Kerala, narrowly missed out the Miss World title.

Previously, Indian beauty queens who have won the title are Rita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).
