: Shweta Kumar, who is debuting with Satish Kaushik’s Karzzzz, says she never had to struggle to enter the industry

Launch
Karzzzz is a remake of the Rishi Kapoor super hit Karz (1980). I am playing Tina Munim's role in the film, opposite Himesh Reshammiya. It is a fantastic role and I believe that I have got an ideal break. My character has a very modern look and she is very chirpy, bubbly and smart.

Casting Coup
Everyone knew that my dad, Indra Kumar, was planning to launch me. Initially I had decided that I would debut with my father's film. But then it was taking a long time for to finalise things. Meanwhile, Satish Kaushik came up with Karzzzz and my dad thought that it was a good role and asked me if I was interested. After the narration I decided to take it up.

Stepping Stone
I have done a three-month acting course from Kishore Namit Kapoor's acting institute. Besides that I have been dancing from a really long time. I have done a lot of shows with Shiamak Davar. I have also assisted Shabina Khan for four years and learnt a little bit of hip-hop. My entire family has been in this industry and I always wanted to get into films.

First Shot
It was a bikini shot and it was freezing cold. We were shooting at Johannesberg in South Africa. I had to wear a swimsuit and was lying on my back talking to a few friends of mine. I was so conscious about wearing a swimsuit but later as the camera got rolling, it was just the camera and me.

Stumbling Block
I did not have any problems getting a break in the industry. The only thing is that I had to watch the movie over and over again to imbibe the important nuances of my character.

Lessons Learnt
After working in this film, I have realised that if you want to work in this industry, you have to be good to people. You have to maintain good relations with everyone

Matinee Idol
Shah Rukh Khan is my ultimate hero. I have grown up watching his films and would love to work with him.

Future Projects
After Karzzzz the only project that I have is my dad's film. I will start shooting for it only after Karzzzz releases. I also want to do different roles that showcase my skills as an actor.
