Muskaan is giving her old clothes to the bartanwali which is seen by Mohini. When asked why she was discarding them, Muskaan says that she’s doing so because Randhir doesn’t like them. Mohini and Shakuntala are preparing for Janmasthami where Mohini tells Shakuntla who tells her to let it go. In the kitchen she finds Muskaan making lunch and comes and switches off the gas saying that when she had already made lunch what was the need to make more.

Archi sees that Hitesh is upset and tells him to think of her as a friend and share his worries, but he declines.

DAAYRE
Zee TV, Sept. 4, 2.00 p.m.

Shakuntala and Sharda see each other at the ferry wharf. Shakuntala pretends she has come on the trail of Pavan Gupta, but the trail led to a dead end. She convinces Sharda to go back with her. At her house, she gives Sharda a pep talk about forgetting Vina-yak and starting life anew. Anand comes home and is happy to see them friendly.

Jenny calls Ajay at home and leaves a message with Sharda that his job is confirmed. Sharda’s joy knows no bounds. Neither Anjali nor Ajay reveal the nature of the job, as they know Sharda would be totally against such a career. Anjali helps Ajay to smuggle out his guitar.

Anand thanks Shakuntala for making up with Sharda. Shakuntala assures him that she will divert Sharda’s mind on to matters that don’t make her brood.

While Vinayak and Shakuntala talk and give reasons for why they married their respective spouses, a policeman intrudes.

RAJA AUR RANCHO

Raja discovers the dead body of Bholoo, the servant in Shalu’s house. He finds a mobile number and on calling it is surprised to discover that Jagmohan, who was supposed to be dead, is alive. Raja and Rancho solve the mystery.

Bharat and Shatru-ghan leave for the forest to plead with Shri Ram to return to Ayodhya to be crowned king following King Dashrath’s demise. They are accompanied by their gurus, King Dasha-rath’s queens and a large contingent of the citizens of Ayodhya. Shri Ram refuses to come back.


Dixit Brothers’ Aaghaat on DD-Metro

After the success of their daily soaps Aparajita and Ardhangini on DD-1, Dixit Brothers’ Aaghaat aired on DD-Metro from August 30, thrice a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10.30 p.m. The series stars Farha, Arun Govil, Zarina Wahab, Govind Namdev, Deepak Parashar, Amita Nangia, Deep Dhillon, Raju Kher, Gajendra Chauhan, Rajesh Puri, Tina Ghai and Aruna Sangal. The series is written by Yashpal Kalra and has lyrics by Nawab Arzoo and music by Shivu Indra.

The story deals with four successive generations. The very old is represented by late Meghraaj, a stern disciplinarian. The second generation is represented by Meghraaj’s son Dhanraaj, a timid romantic man in love with a poor girl called Ruma. Third generation is represented by Dhanraaj’s son Karanraaj and daughter Priya; Nupur, Raman and Kuber. The fourth generation is represented by Tushar, Chandni, Dushyant, who are afraid of nothing and through whom the bitterness of the past generation is overcome.

There are other important characters in Aaghaat include Chanchal Singh, the villain of the piece; R.P. Singh, Manikchand and Virdi, a sycophant and ally to Chanchal Singh in his misdeeds. The law is represented by Inspector Ashwani Patel.
