HINDI FILMS LOSING OUT
ON WEST BENGAL
TERRITIORY?
The continuous poor showing of Hindi films at the box-office has taken
its toll of the distribution sector, which is said to have lost about Rs
50 crore in the last six months. The biggest setback has been the failure
of films with a big star-cast bought at astronomical prices. It has not only
put the distributors on the defensive, but has led them to back out of
comitments, to the extent of even refusing to take delivery of contracted
films.
