On the Sets

Qatl-E-Aam
A five-day shooting stint for Srishti Creations’ Qatl-E-Aam was held at Chennai from October 10. Director Sanjay Sharma picturised a song and some dramatic scenes on the entire starcast. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Vinita, Gulshan Grover, Mushtaque Khan, Ishrat Ali, Varna, Laxmikant Berde, Vishwajeet Pradhan, newfind Parvez Khan and Mohan Raaj. Produced by Smt Kiran Sharma and directed by Sanjay Sharma, it has story by Salim Raza, cinematography by Ram Singh, action by Tyag Rajan, music by Bappi Lahiri. The film is ready for release in December all over.

Dal-The Gang
Producer Sanjay Thakur and director Vicky Ranawat will begin the last 15-day shooting stint of SM International’s Dal-The Gang on October 17 at Film City, MBC Studios, Chandivali, MK Estate, Filmistan Studios, SNDT College, Sun Villa, Vashi Fort and other locales of Mumbai wherein three songs and the climax scenes will be picturised on Suresh Oberoi, Raj Devgan, Hitesh, Divya Kumar, Raja, Aroon Verma, Sanshya Mehta, newfind Kiran, Sanjay Swaraj, Mushtaq Khan, Sara Khan, Ishrat Ali, Razzak Khan, Monica Patel, Dinesh Hingoo, Rajesh Bakshi, Devaa, Anil Nagrath, Neeraj Vikram, Jyoti Dev, Ramesh Goyal, Giirja Shankar, Ranjeet Mohan Joshi and Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Written by Arjun Arvind, the film has lyrics by Sudhakar Sharma, music by Shyam Sunder (will record three more songs very soon) , cinematography by S Pappu, action by Hira Singh, choreography by Ganesh and editing by Kuckoo & Cuckoo.



Vishpot
Stage actor Anees Khan has been signed to play a key role in Mega Films’ Vishpot. A 15-day major shooting spell was completed at Bhasin Nest, Kamal Amrohi Studios, MBC Studio, Crown Studio and various locales of Mumbai. The film stars Makrand Deshpande, Kishori, Upasana Singh, Asrani, Anjan Srivastava, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Shehzad Khan, Meenakshi Iyer, Razzak Khan, Mushtaq Khan, Manish Bhatt, Sachinder Sharma, Kiran Kumar and Raza Murad. Being presented by Mannu Surti, produced by K Baghdadi and written and directed by MI Raaj, the film has dialogue by Anup Shrivastava, cinematography by Ram Singh, dances by Habiba Rehman, action by Mohan Pujari and editing by IM Kunnu.


Tera Saath Na Chhodenge
Saima Cine Arts’ Tera Saath Na Chhodenge (based on AIDS) was launched on October 5, with song recording at Techno Sound, Mumbai. Smt. Smita Thackeray, chairperson of Mukti Foundation, was the chief guest. Music director Bhudev-Nishad recorded two songs penned by Parvana and Anjan Lashkari in the voices of Sadhana Sargam and Vinod Rathod. The film stars Saurav Dev, Gargi, Sahiba, Vidushi and Mausam Akbar. Another top star is to be finalised. Produced by MU Ansari and conceived and directed by Ashok Gautam, it has screenplay and dialogue by Harish Jadhav, cinematography by Anil Dhanda, editing by Sanjay Verma and sound by Akhilesh Acharya. The film will go on floors on October 18 with a start to finish schedule in Mumbai.


Mrityu-The Truth
Eish Arts’ Mrityu-The Truth is on the editing table at Ambient. The film was completed in a 20-day shooting stint at Film City, Karm Kutir, Chiranjeevi bungalow, Mohini Villa, Kamaal Amrohi Studios and other locales of Igatpuri and Lonavala. Seven songs and the entire talkie portion were picturised on leading pairs Ram Asra, Naina Kar, Avinash, Pooja Dadwal, Babloo Mukerjee, Bindu Kamat, Anamika Goel, Nitin Malhotra, Sheela Sharma, Hemant Pande, Shiva, Anil Nagrath, Mushtaq Khan and Aroon Bakshi. Produced by S Rishi, directed by M Pandeya, story by Manoj Sinha, cinematography by Manish Bhatt, lyrics by Kuku Prabhas, music by Babu Kishan, editing by Suhag Diwan are other major credits. Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Vinod Rathod, Sadhana Sargam, Poor-nima, Poonam Bhatia and Suresh Wadkar have rendered the songs for the film which is being readied for November release all over.


Sudesh Berry and Priyanka in Dhaar

Sudesh Berry and Priyanka have been teamed together in First Movie International’s Dhaar. The film also stars Vishaaka Jhaveri, Rajeev Raaj, Pinky, newfind Aman Jalali and Prithvi. Three more well-known actors will be finalised. The film went on the floors on September 23 at Star Villa with a five-day shooting stint at the same venue and other locales of Mumbai. Being produced by Amit Chandra Sahay and written and directed by Chander Sharma, it has screenplay and dialogue by Sanjay Sinha and KK Dharni, cinematography by Dinesh K Thakker, action by MS Mani and art by Neelabh Tiwari.

Geeta Mera Naam
Jay Thakur and Kalyani Thakker alongwith Jyoti Rana, Durgesh Nandini, Tinnu Anand, Gufi Paintal, Ishrat Ali, Ali Khan, Raza Murad and Kiran Kumar are participating in a 10-day shooting schedule for Make Well Films’ Geeta Mera Naam from October 7-16 at Ahmedabad locales. Dharmendra also plays a key role in the film and will participate later in a different spell in Mumbai. The film, being produced by Gautam and Thakur and directed by Dilip Gulati has story by Shyam Soni, music by Sunil Raj and cinematography by S Pappu. All the five songs of the film have been already recorded and the entire shooting of the film will be completed in November.

Bombay Girls due in October
Kamarindo Films’ Bombay Girls is being readied for release on October 29 all over. The film is produced by Thakur Bherwani, Kumar Manwani and Mahendra D and directed by Komal Gulati. Jay Thakur, Dony Kapoor, Tawan Kumar, Sonia, Sudarshanan, Ramesh Goel, Anil Nagrath, Vinod Tripathi and Shakti Kapoor play key roles. Bappi Lahiri appears in a special role. Dialogue by Aadesh K Arjun, music by Bappi Lahiri and cinematography by S Pappu are other major credits.
