Bhaskar TV to be launched on Dec. 18

A new channel Bhaskar TV based on latest hitech optical fibre technology, known for its clarity of vision and voice modulation will be launched next month in Jaipur revealed Jagdish Poddar, senior VP and Mg.editor, Dainik Bhaskar. With this, Dainik Bhaskar, the largest circulating Hindi daily will be diversifying into the electronic media.

Bhaskar TV studio is being set up in Jaipur, furnished with optical transmitters which will communicate programmes through optical fiber cable with speed of audio-visual signal right to the cable operators, who will communicate the same to the members’ residences in their specific areas through improved cable quality. Bhaskar TV will daily telecast programmes like Bhaskar News which will essentially cover the local news of Jaipur and the region, fitness programmes, interviews with eminent personalities, current affairs, medical and education, etc. Popular films will also be telecast under the programme Bhaskar Cinema. Devotional songs, religious films and special programmes pertaining to festivals will be shown in Bhaskar Bhakti. Bhaskar Magic Songs will screen popular film songs, old and new, Hindi and English pop numbers, ghazals,etc. and Bhaskar Magic Scenes will show popular scenes from the top films. On request, programmes of viewers’ choice will be shown round the clock.

Scope for operating additional channels according to future requirements is also being made. At present, a campaign is on for enrolling members for Bhaskar TV. The residents of the Pink City are jubilant that Dainik Bhaskar which made its debut exactly three years ago on Dec.19,1996, is launching Bhaskar TV, heralding a revolution in electronic media world.
