Bappi Lahiri to compose for Hollywood film
Music director Bappi Lahiri is to compose music for an Hollywood film Will To Live in India. The title song of the movie will be rendered by Asha Bhosle at Sahara Recording Studio on November 26. Produced by Amrit H Das and directed by Biplab Chatterjee, the film is based on a story by Kelly Groenveld, Santanu Das and Sharmi Das and has screenplay by Sudeshna Roy. The film stars Anusha Singh, Geoffrey Broderich, Robbie Baher. 80 per cent of the shooting was complete and the remaining will be completed on locations of America and Calcutta. It’s a Ruby Pictures Presentation.


Song recorded for Dhai Akshar Prem Ke
Music directors Jatin-Lalit recorded the second song for Inderjit Films Combines’ Dhai Akshar Prem Ke on November 5 and 6 at Sahara Recording Theatre. Penned by Sameer, it was sung by Sudesh Bhosle and Babul Supriyo with chorus by children. Being produced and directed by Raj Kanwar, the film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead with Anupam Kher, Tanvi Azmi, Neena Kulkarni, Sushma Seth, Himani Shivpuri, Harish Patel, Supriya Karnik, Dalip Tahil, Shakti Kapoor and Amrish Puri in important roles. Cinematography by Ratna Rajaiah, story by Raj Kanwar, dialogue by Jainendra Jain, cinematography by Ishwar Bidri, art by R Varman, editing by A Muthu, sound by Jagmohan Anand and action by Bhiku Verma are other major credits. K Pappu is the co-producer.


Tere Ishq Men Pad Gaya Re

Producer Tutu Sharma and director Harmesh Malhotra will start a seven-day shooting schedule for Tutu Films’ Tere Ishq Men Pad Gaya Re from November 15 at different locales of Mumbai. Many scenes will be picturised featuring Govinda, Preity Zinta, Satish Kaushik and Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Music by Anand-Milind, lyrics by Sameer, story and dialogue by Anwar Khan, screenplay by Rajiv Kaul-Praful Par-ekh, sound by Jeetendra Chaudhari, editing by Govind Dalwadi and cinemtography by Laxmi Narayan are other major credits.


Dil Ke Aas Paas unit in London
The unit of United Films Combines’ Dil Ke Aas Paas left for London on November 16 for a ten-day shooting schedule wherein two songs and some dramatic scenes will be picturised on Govinda and Mahima along with one more heroine (in a special appearance) who is being finalised. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Arun Govil, Jaspal Bhatti, Avtar Gill, Anjan Srivastava, Tiku Talsania and Upasna Singh in key roles. Being directed by Parto Ghosh for producer Vasant Doshi, the film has screenplay by Ranbir Pushp, dialogue by Anwar Khan, music by Rajesh Roshan, lyrics by Maya Govind, Dev Kohli, Ibrahim Ashq and Nitin Raikwar, choreography by Rekha Chinni Prakash and Ganesh Acharya, art by Ajit Dandekar, sound by Prakash Bhatia, cinematography by Sameer Reddy and editing by Sanjay Verma. The sixth song of the film penned by Dev Kohli was also recorded on November 15-16 at Sunny Super Sounds. Kamlesh Doshi is the executive producer.


Tarkieb in Mumbai

Producer Jay Mehta’s Tarkieb is currently being shot from November 15 to 19 at Filmalaya Studios, Grand Canyon, Jeevan Mills and on locales of Mumbai. Being directed by Esmayeel Shroff, the film stars Nana Patekar, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, Aditya Pancholi, Milind Soman, Raghuvir Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Akhilendra Mishra and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. Written by Moin-ud-din, it has music by Aadesh Shrivastav, cinematography by Mazhar Kamran, action by Sham Kaushal, sound by Buta Singh and art by Vimlesh Lal. Being made under the banner of Jay Movies, it is presented by Pranlal Mehta.


Mithun, Naseer in Kaaldev

Mithun Chakraborty and Naseeruddin Shah will play key roles in Bhagwati Maa Production’s Kaaldev. A start-to-finish 25-day shooting spell will be held at Ooty, Chennai and Bangalore from December 1. The film also stars Ravli, Jack Gaud, Mohan Joshi, Ishrat Ali, Neelima Azim, Raja Shrivastava, Shiva, Pramod Moutho, Razzak Khan, newfind Juhi Patel and Puneet Issar. Produced by Sunita Gaur and written and directed by TLV Prasad it has dialogue by Syed Sultan, cinematography by KV Ramanna, action by Rambo Raj Kumar and music by Babu Kishan.


Naagvanshi is now Jungle Ka Khiladi

Shri Ramakrishna Movies’ Naagvanshi which has now been titled Jungle Ka Khiladi was shot in a six-day shooting stint recently on locations in and around Mumbai. Being produced and directed by Anil Gandotra from his own story, the film stars Avinash, Bharati, Dara Singh, Gulshan Grover, Tej Sapru, Mahesh Anand, Feroz Irani, Paintal, Sripradha, Bandini Misra, Upasna Khosla, Neelam Mehra and Seema Kapoor. Fast nearing completion, the film has music by Usha Khanna, lyrics by Anil Gandotra, screenplay and dialogue by Sanjeev Soni, choreography by Vijay-Oscar, action by Hira Singh and cinematography by Prabhakar Niklankar.


Biwi Kamaal Ki Saali Dhamaal Ki

Producer Abdul Karim LT and director GVR Naidu have launched Sana Movie International’s forthcoming film Biwi Kamaal Ki Saali Dhamaal Ki with the recording of the first song at Ketnav and Digital Trio Recording Studios. Penned by Kailash Senger, the song was compsed by Kanwar Saxena and rendered in the voices of Udit Narayan and Jaspinder Narula. Based on the hit Marathi play titled Baiko Kamaal Mehuni Dhamaal, the film is written by Janardhan Lavangare, and has screenplay by Prem Prakash and cinematography by Rocky Fonseca. The starcast and other credits are yet to be finalised.


Mera Saaya
Colour Scope Films have completed the last shooting schedule of Mera Saaya at Basra Studios. Shakti Kapoor participated in a three-day shooting stint with Prithvi, Ashny, Naina, Shezad Khan, Jaya Mathur, Tej Sapru, Ramesh Goyal, Anil Nagrath and Biswajeet. Dharam is directing the film based on a story, screenplay and dialogue by Suroor Lucknowi who has also written the lyrics. Music by Gulam Ali Chandar, cinematography by S Hussain, action by Masood Patel, art by Ramesh, choreography by Oscar and S Dinesh, editing by Makkar are other major credits. Dhirendra Agarwal is the associate director. The post-production work has already begun.


Shakti Kapoor as Haiwan Aatma

Shakti Kapoor who is playing the title role in Govindam Films’ Haiwan Aatma participated in a four-day shooting stint recently at Film City, Green Court, Mira Road, Kamaal Amrohi Studios and Pereira House, Madh Island. The film also stars Hyder Khan, Suneil Don, Vaishnavi, Pooja, Sanjay Sinha, Kiran Jain, Ajay Bhagat, Azeez Monto, Sudhir, Shiva and Ramesh Goyal. Eight reels ready now, the film is being produced and directed by Govind Mishra. Story by Sanjay Sinha, cinematography by Umesh Kabra, action by MS Mani and choreography by Bali are the other major credits.


Songs picturised for Dhaar
First Movies International’s Dhaar was shot from November 7 to 14 at Vijay Mills, Saki Naka, Amendi bungalow, Pereira House, Bhullar Garden, Madh Island, Green Court, Mira Road and other locales of Mumbai wherein two songs, action and romantic scenes were picturised on lead pair Sudesh Berry and Priyanka along with newfinds Amar, Jalali, Vishaaka, Javed, Rajni Kaur, Kapil Bhart, Roy Mathews, Sandhya, Muskaan, Vishaal Bobna, Kirti Rawal, Ramesh Goyal, Brij Gopal, Bharat Kapoor, Prithvi, Mahaveer Shah alongwith fighters and dancers. Produced by Amit Chandra Sahay and directed by S Chandra, the film has story by Sanjay Sinha and KK Dharni, cinematography by Dinesh K Thakkar, music by Jay Vijay (who has already recorded four songs for the film), lyrics by Anuragi, action by MS Mani, choreography by Bali and Mahesh, sound by SK Singh and art by Neela Tiwari. The film is now 12 reels ready.

Chupke Chupke Pyar Ho Gaya
n Shree Giriraj Films have announced their maiden venture Chupke Chupke Pyar Ho Gaya. The film, being produced by Vinod J Mehta and directed by Pramod Mandloi, stars new-finds Rajeshwar and Garima in the romantic lead. Story and screenplay by Rajan Layalpuri, dialogue by Abhijeet Ghatwari, cinematography by Mukesh Mistry, music by Vijaya-Ajeet (who have recorded all the six songs for the film at Paramound Studios recently) and lyric sby Vijaya Rani are other major credits.


Bad Boys fast progressing
The dubbing of Vinayak Films’ Bad Boys began from November 16 and the entire post-production work will be completed by December 5. Being produced by Jatin Kumar and directed by debutant Vicky Kumar it stars Raakhi, Sikandar, Amit, Anay, Himanshu and Hemant Pande in the lead alongwith Vidya Sinha, Dinesh Hingoo, Jaya Mathur, Aanchal Malhotra, Suresh Chatwal, Avtar Gill, Sanjay Goradia, Brij Gopal, Razzak Khan, Sudhir, Mac Mohan, Shehzad Khan, Mukesh Rishi, Mohan Joshi and Gulshan Grover in key roles. Story by Robby Kumar, screenplay and dialogue by Salim Reza, cinematography by Akram Khan, music by Sayyed Ahmed and Jeet-Ashish, lyrics by Dev Kohli, action by Masood Patel and editing by Om Prakash Makkar are other credits.


Mrityu-The Truth
The entire post-production of Eish Arts’ Mrityu-The Truth will be complete on November 25 and the first print will be out on December 3. Being produced by S Rishi and directed by M Pandeya, it stars Ram Asra, Pooja Dadwal, Avinash, Naina Kar, Babloo Mukherjee, Bindu Kamat, Anamika Goel, Anil Nagrath, Nitin Malhotra, Sheela Sharma, Hemant Pande, Shiva, Mushtaq Khan and Aroon Bakshi. Written by Manoj Sinha, the film has lyrics by Kuku Prabhaa, music by Babu Kishan, cinematography by Manish Bhatt choreography by Lollypop and editing by Suhag Diwan.


First print of Kaala Mandir out

The first print of KK Movies’ Kaala Mandir was out on November 18. The film stars Javed Khan, Neelam Sagar, Neelam Mehra, Neelima Azim, Sudhir, Ramesh Tiwari, Kishore Bhanushali, Johny Nirmal, Birbal, Rukhsar, Anant and Mahadevan with Shakti Kapoor in a friendly appearance. Produced by Arvind J Agarwal and Dr Dinesh S Darak and directed by Hemant Kamal, the film has story by JK Ahuja, cinematography by M Iqbal, action by Akbar Sharif and editing by Vishwanath Roy. Her Dil Main Basa Hai Pyar Tera

The film stars Sankalp, Roma, Om Naveen, Rajesh Sarthy, Kaushal, Manika, Hanum-aan, Kavita, Dinesh Hingoo, Mac Mohan, Poonam Dasgupta, Moon Moon Sen, Yunus Pervez, Raj Sinha and Kiran Kumar.
