Pahlaj Nihalani is back in the news again after keeping a low profile for a surprisingly long spell. His film Bhai Bhai, which has been described as a tribute to 50 years of India’s independence, is in a spot of trouble with the censors, with Maneka Gandhi objecting to a bull fight in the film. To add to the controversy, Deepak Shivdasani, Producer-director of Bhai, has been crying foul because Nihalani decided to release his Bhai Bhai on the same day (as Bhai). Earlier, Nihalani had to replace Govinda and Chunky Pandey with two newcomers, Samrat Mukerjee and Manek Bedi, because of persistent date hassles. It forced Nihalani to sell the film at a discount. But gutsy as he is, Nihalani has taken all these things in his stride and is extremely confident that his dream project will be a winner from the word go

HUM AAPKE HAIN CLONE
A hill-station in the middle of Mumbai! Yeah, but it is not the real thing. This is art director Sharmishta Roy’s set for Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, complete with a cute little cottage. Apparently, the stars too were very impressed with Roy’s craftsmanship for they descended from their heavenly abode in unison. There was Rajesh Khanna, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan. A unit hand hastily informs us that only the Khan brothers are for real. The rest are clones of the actors.
