Kundan Shah directs Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon
Sai Trinetra Arts’ Prod. No.2 was launched on October 19 at Gambhir Villa and Hiranandani Complex, Powai. Later a seven-day shooting schedule was held at Gambhir Villa and Kamal Amrohi Studios, Chennai. The chief assistant to Kundan Shah sounded the clap and Bikramjeet Sandhu, son of producer Pammi Sandhu switched on the camera while Raveena Tandon faced the camera for the first shot. The film also stars Sunil Shetty, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kulbhushan Kbarhanda and Shakti Kapoor in important roles. One more hero and heroine and the remaining cast are under finalisation. Being produced by Pammi Sandhu and directed by Kundan Shah, the film written by Dilip Shukla, has cinematography by Dharma Teja, action by Sham Kaushal, sound by Rakesh Ranjan, music by Anand Raaj Anand, art by Wasim Khan and editing by Asim Sinha.

Ten-day schedule for Shah Rukh starrer One Two Ka Four
Producer Nazir Ahmed and director Shashilal K Nair commenced a ten-day shooting stint for Glamour Films’ One Two Ka Four from November 1 at Madh Island, Band Stand, Kohinoor Hotel and Strike Ten. Shah Rukh Khan, Jackie Shroff, Juhi Chawla, Nirmal Pandey and four kids are participating in this schedule. Based on a screenplay by Manoj Lalwani and Rajkumar Daahima, it has dialogue by Sanjay Chhel, music by AR Rahman, lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri, cinematography by S Kumar and art by Nitin Desai. Bhagwan Raj is the executive producer, Brij Chopra the production controller and Mahendra Verma is the action co-ordinator.

Dev Anand’s Censor at RK Studio
Dev Anand has erected a very expensive set at RK Studio wherein two songs were picturised featuring the two new lead pairs and abo-ut 80 dancers and models. The songs had music by Jatin-Lalit and choreography by Madhav Kishan. The film is fast nearing completion.

Salim’s Badal back from Switzerland
The entire unit of Aftab Music Industries’ Badal returned from Switzerland on October 25, wherein two songs were picturised on Bobby Deol and Rani Mukerji. With this, the entire shooting of the film is complete and post-production work is in full swing. Being produced by Salim and directed by Raj Kanwar, the film also stars Mayuri Kango, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ashutosh Rana, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Harish Patel, Neena Kulkarni, Dinesh Anand, Brajesh, Mushtaq Khan, Upasana Singh, Johnny Lever and Amrish Puri in key roles with Mink in a special role. Music by Anu Malik, lyrics by Sameer, story by Raj Kanwar, screenplay by Robin Bhatt and Sutanu Gupta, dialogue by Santosh Saroj, cinematography by Harmeet Singh, choreography by Chinni Prakash and BH Tharun Kumar, art by R Varman and editing by Waman Bhosle are other credits. Being presented by Masuda HM Ishaque, the film is being readied for January 2000 release all over.

Five-day spell for Mithun starrer Insaaf Main Karooga
Producer Manisha Pujari and director Hamid Ali Khan completed a five-day shooting spell of Aniket International’s Insaaf Main Karoonga on October 28 at different locations. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Rajesh Bartiye, Arjun, Raza Murad, Deepak Shirke, Tej Sapru, Ankush Mohit, Avtar Gill, Ravi Kissen, Anil Nagrath, Pushpa Verma, Ankita Jhas, Sushant Shekhar, Nawab Sagir, Shiva, Brijesh, Kiran Kumar and Shakti Kapoor. Music by Arvind-Nirmal, story by Meeraq Mirza, cinematography by Vinit Sapru, action by Riaz Sultan, choreography by Ganesh are other major credits. Two more heroines are to be finalised.

Manmohan Desai’s Yeh Hai Jalwa progresses in Mumbai
Producer-director Ketan Manmohan Desai shot MKD Films Combine’s Yeh Hai Jalwa for eight days from October 11 and 19 at Santacruz Airport wherein action and dramatic scenes were filmed on Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Kareena Kapoor, Kashmira Shah and Armaan Kohli. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Ishrat Ali and Paresh Rawal in key roles. Story by Ikram Akhtar, screenplay by Robin Bhatt-Ikram Akhtar, dialogue by Rumy Jaffrey, cinematography by Thomas Xavier, music by Himesh Reshammiya, action by Mahendra Varma and editing by A Muthu are other major credits. Prakash Pange is the executive producer.

Sunny, Rahul Rawail teamed
Sunny Deol and director Rahul Rawail have teamed once again in producer BS Shaad’s next venture. The film, to be made under the banner of Brar Productions, will have cinematography by Manmohan Singh. The songs will be recorded in January 2000 and it will go on the floors in March with regular shooting from May 2000.

Nandita Das in KP Sasi’s
Ek Alag Mausam
Nandita Das faced the camera for the muhurat shot of director KP Sasi’s Ek Alag Mausam on October 11 in Bangalore. Also starring Rajat Kapoor, Renuka Shahane and British actress Sally Whittaker, the filmhas cinematography by Sunny Joseph, dialogue by Achint, lyrics by Kaifi Azmi, music by Ravi and art by Sasidhara Adappa. This spell will be followed by another one at Vagamon, a hill station in Kerala. Written by Mahesh Dattani, i t is being presented by Action Aid India.
