for the Roshan famly to worry about. After Rakesh 
Roshan’s
outburst aganst the latest Peps ad, whch he sad was "detrmental to
Hrthk’s mage," there’s ‘real’ competton for hs
star son. And no, t’s not Shah Rukh Khan. Tarun Khanna, the Delh-based
model, supposedly Hrthk’s look-alke, who appears as the macho-loser-wth-braces
wth Shah Rukh n the ad, s now headed for Bollywood.

When we spoke to hm, the model sad he was flabbergasted by the furore
created by the ad. "No one ever told me look lke Hrthk Roshan. As
far as ths ad s concerned, t s probably sheer concdence that look lke
Hrthk. The ntenton wasn’t that at all. When was brefed on my look
before the ad was shot, was told would have to look lke a macho hanger-on
type, who thnks no end of hmself and thnks every grl wll fall for hm.
thnk ths knd of reacton to the ad s totally uncalled-for and slly. There
s no attempt to prove Shah Rukh s better than Hrthk," he sad.
He descrbed hs experence whle shootng the flm wth Prahlad Kakkar n Mumba
as "delghtful" because he had a chance to work wth Shah Rukh.
"He s a great person and a thorough professonal, and was motvated
to do my best because of hm." As far as hs own actng aspratons are
concerned, Tarun has hs prortes clear: " wll leave Delh for good
only f have a lead role n a Hnd flm," he sad.

Tarun’s modellng career has been average so far. The last Peps ad
plugged around the Phr Bh Dl Ha Hndustan promoton, whch went on ar last
February, dd not get hm much attenton. Hs other campagns -- Four Square,
Prngle and Marut -- have not been notceable ether. But all that has changed
wth hs latest assgnment. He’s now flooded wth telephone calls, manly
because he s seen as Hrthk Roshan’s clone. "t’s heartwarmng,
but at the same tme annoyng, because know t’s my own look and don’t
lke to be compared wth anyone else. am a model and an asprng actor n my
own rght. have respect for Hrthk Roshan because he represents a new face
and a new look n Bollywood. just hope another actor lke hm emerges soon."
