Distributors
demand a fair hearing

NEW DELHI:
The leading lights in the movie distribution trade in Delhi territory foresee
a bleak future for cinema if their grievances are not redressed, post haste,
both by the government and the producers. While their bone of contention
with the former is the old industry nemesis, entertainment tax (ET), their
demand from producers is that the spiralling prices of films be checked if
they expect distributors to keep buying them.
Screen spoke
to a few leaders in the distribution trade on matters close to their heart,
the problems they are faced with, and their suggestions on how these could
