She's the Helen of Troy of the '90s. The face which launched maybe not a 100 ships but a dozen brands. A face which wowed the world and wooed many to donate their eyes to the eye bank after they were gone. The turquoise eyes certainly see a long way into the future. And at the moment, films are Aishwarya Rai's future. Mani Rathnam's Iruvar may not have made much of an impact but Ash sure did. From the time she swayed to a Nusrat Fateh Ali melody for Rahul Rawail's Aur Pyar Ho Gaya Ash has been a heart-stopper. And in quick succession she has signed on seven big banners among them Pahlaj Nihalani's much talked about Indian. If Karisma Kapoor was the Rani Hindustani of 1996, Ash could well be the Queen of '97.
