SAT. SUSPENSE: GAWAH
Zee TV, March 13, 9.30 p.m.
Karan Kapoor is a private detective, who owns CDA.
Avinash Rai is his associate. One day karan accidentally meets an old friend
Ravi Kumar - an inspector with the Mumbai police. Ravi tells Karan about
a series of murders in the city. Karan gets involved in the investigation,
because of a letter he receives from the killer. He realises that a maniac
is killing famous models in the city. As the investigation proceeds, Karan
realises who the killer is, but he also discovers that one of the murders
has a different pattern. Are there two killers on the loose?
RISHTEY
Zee TV, March 12, 8.30 p.m.
This story revolves around Vishaka, Smita, Uday and
Anand. Vishaka, the only working member of her family, supports her younger
brother and her mother. She is a very self-assured girl and very good at
her work. Her friend Smita who works in the same office admires her and also
runs to her for help. Both Vishaka and Smita are around 28 years old and
they haven't found anyone to get married to.
Vishaka doesn't like the scores of men her mother has
arranged for her to meet and Smita finds her own community very backward
in thought. Once while Smita and Vishaka are talking on the phone, Anand
gets cross connected into their conversation. Vishaka gets upset by his
interference and they have an argument over the telephone. In the midst of
their argument Smita lets out Vishaka's number.
Anand, who has liked Vishaka's spirit over the phone,
keeps calling her. At first Vishaka gets very upset, but eventually, both
start looking forward to talking with each other on the phone and their
conversations reach a point where they have to meet. Vishaka views this prospect
with trepidation and requests Smita to meet Anand in the restaurant instead
of her, saying she would also be there to gauge whether she likes Anand at
sight.
At the restaurant, Smita who is posing as Vishaka actually
meets Uday, Anand's room mate who Anand has sent to pose for him, for the
same reason as Vishaka has sent Smita. This is the beginning of a lot of
confusion and does everything get sorted out at the end?
X-ZONE
Zee TV, March 12, 9.00 p.m.
A eunuch village - sometime during the British era. Tara, a masculine looking
eunuch, is haunted every night by a ghost dancer in the open courtyard. This
phenomenon occurs soon after the disappearance of Chameli, a uniquely feminine
eunuch whom the whole community held in awe and particularly worshiped as
a Devi.
Tara, meanwhile, is adversely disturbed by the haunting
and does not go out in search of Chameli like the rest of his community.
Angered by such a lack of feeling for a fellow eunuch, Amma questions Tara
about his indifference in the matter. Tara finally, narrates to Amma a series
of queer incidents involving him and Chameli, which he thinks may be connected
with Chameli's disappearance.
During the narration, he thinks he sees Chameli watching
them but, when he pursues the figure, it vanishes into thin air. Tara knew
then for sure that something terrible had happened to Chameli. Even worse,
he knew he was to blame.
COMMANDO
Zee TV, March 17, 9.30 p.m.
Ajay has a new girlfriend, a glamorous woman named
Tina with whom he seems to have really fallen in love. She seems to be the
only person who knows about Ajay's movements which no outsider could know.
Is she the betrayer? Ajay questions with such ferocity that it could have
broken any normal person. But Tina seems to be really innocent.
The mystery deepens when they question Rakesh Sharma's
widow, Veena, and his daughter and find that on the morning of the assassination,
Rakesh Sharma had disclosed to his disciple, Jaiprakash, the route of his
morning jog.
But when the commandos question Jaiprakash and as he
is about to reveal something, he is shot at and killed. Every person the
commandos reach in order to find out the culprit behind the assassination,
seems to die before they can find something definite. The assassin seemed
to be always one step ahead of them.
...KNOCK KAUN HAI?
Zee TV, March 12, 10.30 p.m.
A group of four artists land up in Keshav's house.
One is a mimic, one a singer, one a musician, the other a dancer. They have
come to stay and establish their drama company. Keshav and Gayatri try their
best to send them away, but Jai has no business and so he wants to make money
out of them. He arranges their shows, for which he sells tickets to the
neighbour.
SAAYA
Sony, March 15, 9.00 p.m.
Manoj and Shekhar reach the hospital. They help out
the Mehras and visit Bhaskar's wife, Sucheta. Kamiya is out of danger. Mr.
Mehra asks Shekhar to drop Sudha home.
Jagat Narayan sees Sudha getting out of the taxi and
slaps her. When Shekhar comes to rescue her, Jagat Narayan bangs the door
on his face. Prakash intervenes and raises his hand on Jagat Narayan in anger.
He escorts Sudha into the house and later finds Shekhar waiting outside who
surprises him with an offer.
HUM SUB EK HAIN
Sony, March 17, 9.00 p.m.
Bharti and her three daughters-in-law decide
to start cookery classes after the constant nagging of their husbands who
feel they do nothing except just being housewives. Luckily, their classes
become very popular and they get so busy coping with them, that they start
ignoring their household duties.
Irritated with the situation, all the husbands ask for their wives' forgiveness
and plead them to stop their cookery classes.
CID
Sony, March 17, 9.35 p.m.
The owner of an old library Janardhan, brings a torn magazine and has a strange
story to tell the CID officers. Somebody has torn out words and alphabets
from the magazine. Intrigued, he tried to find out what the words were and
when he combined them together, it turned out to be a ransom note! Now the
CID have to investigate all the people who had borrowed the magazine in the
entire last month and find out who the kidnapper is!
JUST MOHABBAT
Sony, March 12, 8.30 p.m.
Jai looks over the crystal ball that Panditji has gifted
and recalls all the efforts made by Raj, Maya, Pia, JP and Desmond to make
their future bright.
In class, Mr. Nair teaches the importance of identity
and individuality. All the student set out to find a unique and different
identity of their own. Raj, Maya, Ishwar and Sumedha are all distressed to
find out that they all have an identity crisis. All of them decide to find
an identity of their own by finding new challenges at their work place.
At her office, Maya is visited by Sandeepan Sharma,
who is accused of murdering his girlfriend. Maya decides to take up the
case.
HEENA
Sony, March 12, 9.30 p.m.
Nawab Mirza tells Sameer that Heena is disappointed
that the trip has been postponed. He also informs Sameer about Heena's mother's
illness. Sameer assures Nawab Mirza that he would go along with Heena to
meet her.
Sameer is informed by Akram that he would like to show
him, his dream project, but comes to know later that the financiers had backed
out. Akram is very disappointed with the turn of events and is in a
dilemma.
HIP HIP HURRAY
Zee TV, March 17, 8.00 p.m.
The principal tries to claim the parents down at the
PTA meeting. Vinny tries to console Alaknanda who tells the principal that
she would like to stay away from school for a few weeks till the matter is
solved.
The 12th standard students are surprised to see a new
physics teacher. John is sad and goes to find out the problem. During lunch
time everyone furiously decides to fight against this anti-Alaknanda campaign
that the parents are spearheading. A board meeting is held but no decision
is taken.
In class everyone is rude to the new teacher and gives
up blank papers at the test. At home John fights with his mother about Alaknanda,
so do Kiran and Raghav.
JEANS VS. SARI
DD-1, March 17, 2.30 p.m.
If a girl wears jeans and T-shirts or short skirts,
it could be because she finds it comfortable, but she could be accused of
being a loose woman. Some are kinder and say it's all right until marriage
but not after. Then it has to be a sari. Are western clothes acceptable?
Or decent? Can anything match the elegance of the traditional sari? An
acrimonious discussion ensues between young people and conservative parents.
Participants include a TV actress, young girls, parents and teachers. And
of course men who tell us how they look at it.
AAP KI TAREEF

Who is not afraid of journalists? Tom Alter is not.
In this episode, Tom grills top journalists like Suguna Sunderam, Rajeev
Masand (Bombay Times), Manoj Soral (Screen), Pammi Somal (Cine Blitz) and
Mushtaqe Sheikh. For once the journalists are on the other side of firing
line with TV and film star Tom Alter firing away questions that makes them
squirm in their seats.
