Hallmark and Kermit
to launch commercial stream in India
HEN Asia Pacific, Inc, is launching
commercial streams in India, Taiwan and the Phillipines. In addition,
Gregory Ang, formerly of Discovery Channel, has been appointed as vice
president and director of Advertising Sales for HEN Asia Pacific, Inc
to spearhead advertising sales efforts throughout the region.
Dedicated streams are expected to be launch in India in April, followed
by Taiwan and the Phillipines in June. They have been developed in response
to the projected distribution growth for HEN Asia Pacific, Incs
two network in Asia, Hallmark Entertainment Network and Kermit Channel.
In addition to strengthening HEN Asia Pacific, Incs relationships
with its existing multinational client base, Angs role is to develop
a strong Asian-based client list by developing local as well as pan regional
buys.
Reporting directly to F Kip Vanderbilt, senior vice president, Worldwide
Advertising Sales in the United States, Ang will be responsible for presenting
opportunities to advertisers and agencies to target audiences that will
meet their advertising objectives. Ang was most recently senior manager,
Asia Regional Advertising Sales of Discovery Channel Asia, where he developed
strategic multimedia advertising and marketing packages for key advertisers
throughout the entire Asia Pacific region, including Australia and New
Zealand. Ang has previously held positions with ESPN Asia Ltd., Volkswagen
Asia Pacific, American Express International, Lintas Advertising and Leo
Burnett Advertising.
