Kamaal Khan sings for Hrithik Roshan
The O o jaane jaana singer Kamaal Khan recently recorded a song
for the current heart-throb Hrithik Roshan for Pantaloons Na Tum
Jaano Na Hum. After Lucky Ali, composer Rajesh Roshan decided on experimenting
with Kamaals voice on Hrithik. Three songs for the film, penned
by Anand Bakshi, have already been recorded in the voices of Udit Narayan,
Falguni Pathak, Abhijeet and Pamela Jain.

Veena
Indias only Grammy-award winning artist Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt has
released yet another album of his titled The Maestro Of Mohan Veena. Pt.
Bhatt has rendered three ragas on this album on his Mohan Veena, namely
Raga Yaman in alaap, jod and jhala, Raga Yaman with gat in dhrut and Raga
Basant with gat in Madhyalaya. The album also has Pt. Bhatt presenting
Ragas Yaman and Basant on Mohan Veena in his own inimitable style. Yaman
is a perennial favourite with artists and audiences alike, and Pt. Bhatt
has explored the profound melodic potentialities of the raga.
Pt. Bhatt is a prominent disciple of renowned sitar maestro, Pt. Ravi
Shankar. He received international attention as the innovator of the Mohan
Veena, and further more as a recipient of the prestigious Grammy award
in 1994, along with Ry Cooder for their World Music Album, A Meeting By
The River. Adding 14 more strings to the traditional Hawaiian guitar,
Pt. Bhatt has contributed to the world of Indian instrumental music a
new depth and dimension. His Mohan Veena is a versatile instrument which
assimilates the niceties and subtle nuances of the sitar, sarod and veena.
Devang Patels Patelscope
Devang Patel, the crazy singer who made waves with Madhuri Dixit mili
raste mein, khaye chane hamne saste mein, Meri marzi and Mere paas time
nahin, is back with his new album titled Patelscope, released by Times
Music. The singer, who is known for his funny lyrics, does a spoof of
the international hits like Aquas Barbie girl, Lou Begas Mambo
no. 5 and Alane in his latest album. Devang says the tunes are easy to
remember and the album is sure to have the listeners in splits. The video
which is based on the videos of Barbie girl and Mambo No. 5 is directed
by Raj Santhakumar.

Online Talents (India) Private Limited launched a portal www.talentduniya.com
on June 16, in Mumbai. This is Indias first comprehensive portal
aimed at providing an international platform to singers and musicians
from India to reach out to people worldwide. According to Pradeep Menon,
