Waiting
for the
big
break

Hes the jilted lover of Sudha out to settle scores with her in Saaya
(Sony). in Bandhan, he marries a divorcee whom he had loved before she
got married to his best friend, Tamanna (Sabe) has him playing a man who
stands by his sister come what may and in Ek Vardi Ki (Sahara) hes
the boy who has been wronged by the society. His latest serial to hit
the small screen is Ghar Ek Mandi (Sony) in which he forms one part of
a triangular love story.
Theres no dearth of variety in the roles Prakash Ramchandani is
portraying but the one to catapult him into the big league has been eluding
him so far. I have been lucky enough to get different roles but
its upto the audience to decide in which they would like to see
me the most, he avers. Hes upbeat about his role in Saaya
though. It has not only been appreciated, but has got him
meaty offers. Says Prakash, After a few episodes my character was
pulled out of the serial. It was a deliberate move and after guaging the
viewer response I was back in the award-winning serial.
The actor who began his career assisting Ravi Rai is now looking forward
to his role in Ghar Ek Mandir. Its a very positive role and
I am having a lot of fun doing it, enthuses Prakash. Like every
actor whose aim is to shine on the silver screen, Prakash also dreamt
of becoming a star. Though things havent worked out that way, the
actor is not bitter. Now, I am content with small things,
he says emphatically. Till date, hes done a number of serials including
Hasratein, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zarrorat Hai and Gharounda but surprisingly
he doesnt have any favourites. Every role is conceived by
a writer. Its his imagination and the challenge lies in interpreting
the way hes perceived it to be, explains the actor. So, gear
upto watch the actor portraying different characters in serials on almost
all the entertainment channels.
