Santiago rum-Virgin Records tie up to promote Latino music in India

The all-time dance hits Brazil, La Bamba, Volare, Tequila and Oye Como Va bring back memories of parties when one danced the blues away. Well, this collection of classic Latino hits is set to hit music buffs again. Launched by Santiago rum in collaboration with Virgin Records, Santiago Fiesta Latina, brings together 19 all-time Latino hits that make it an essential party album.

"Santiago Fiesta Latina is the first in a series of Latino music albums we will be launching with Virgin Records. These albums will showcase the vibrant range of Latin American music that is a rage the world over. This is our second tie up with Virgin Records after the successful Tilsbury - Can you Karaoke with Shaan evenings across the country," said Albert Elgrissy, managing director, Pernod Ricard, India.

"The Latino wave has taken the world by storm. Even in India, we have always enjoyed the music of Lambada, Volare, etc. Virgin Records felt it was time to put all these popular tracks together for India. This album features 19 all-time favourites from this genre - including songs like Rhythm is gonna get you, La Bamba and Black Magic Woman among others," said Shameer Tandon, manager marketing, Virgin Records India, at the launch.
Santiago is also working with live bands to bring authentic Latin American music to India.
