Maragatha Mani Keeravani alias Keeravani alias MM Kreem (for Hindi
film music buffs) created a record of sorts when he won the South Screen-Videocon
award for the Best Music Director for Telugu films, three times in a row.
His latest musical hit, Annamayya, has not only won him the Screen-Videocon
award, but the Nandi award from the Andhra Pradesh government, and now the
coveted National award. To date, he has composed music for about 133 films
in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. An occasional singer, he has sung 50 songs in
these languages. Keeravanis aim now is to establish himself firmly
in Hindi films, especially since his music in Criminal was appreciated. A
