Devyank Art's Lav Kush recreates the legend of Lord Ram, Sita, their sons, Lav Kush and the emotinal storms they face. So what's new. You may will ask. Well, the focus of this mythological is not on Ram but his twins, Lav and Kush. The exploits of the two brothers as recounted by sage Valmiki forms the crux of the film. The highlight of the Ram Kahani is the Ashwamedha Yagna performed by Lord Ram which leads to a showdown between Lav, Kush and Shatrughan, Lav, Kush and Lakshman and finally between Lav, Kush and their father. The film ends with the reconciliation between Ram and his sons and Sita being swallowed up by mother Earth.



Some never-before-seen special effects and Dolby stereo sound have been used in make this off-seen, off-heard epic a novel experience. Jeetendra, Jayaprada, Pran, Dara Singh, Arun Govil, Beena and Jayshree Gadkar play significant roles. Master Aditya and Baby Shrestha are Lav and Kush. The film has been directed by the veteran director of mythologicals, V Madhusudana Rao, for producer Dilip Kankaria. Lyrics have been penned by Dev Kohli and Bhring Tupkari and the music is scored by Ram-Laxman who brought us the chartbusters of
Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Apke Hain Koun. His biggest achievement this time is bringing together all the Mangeshkar sisters for one film. Other notable singers have also lent their voices to making  this mythological memorable.
