to hold Rendez-Vous to lure Indian TV industry

France International will be organising the sixth edition of their market
named Rendez-Vous in Saint Tropez, one of the hottest places in French
Riviera from the September 4 to 8, 2000.
TV France International, which wants its presence to be felt in the Indian
market, had organised a market session in Delhi last year on the occasion
of the French film and television showcase in December last year.
Last year TVFIs representatives met several heads of the Indian
television channels including Doordarshan and discussed various plans
and strategies for the future. TV France International is, in fact, a
non-profit organisation and promoter of French Television productions
in the international markets.
As Raghu Devraj of the French Embassy says, With the increasing
number of television channels the demand for quality programmes has also
increased. TVFI is capable of matching this demand. It also provides information
about new productions and various trends in the international market.
I think, Saint Tropez market will be the best place for Indian television
campaigns which want to acquire quality programmes.
