For the cash-strapped film industry, here’s some good news. Close on the heels of the union government granting industry status to filmdom, and the ministry of finance giving the go-ahead for corporate and private financing, comes the latest windfall — insurance cover for filmmakers. The insurance market has now been thrown open, and film investors, who, thus far, have not had adequate protection or risk cover, could well have a variety of insurance options to chose from.
