Some men (and women)
had literally scared Hrishida (the renowned Hrishikesh Mukherjee) who had
worked with a whole range of stars from Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand
and Raj Kapoor to Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, to Sanjeev
Kumar, Amol Palekar and Farouque Shaikh ( not to forget a whole lot of beautiful
female stars he had worked with during the last fifty years). They said the
stars today were not like the stars of his days, when he was king, days when
he ordered and the stars followed. It was something they all accepted because
they (the stars) all accepted that Hrishida knew his job and knew it to
perfection, knew it with a rare passion. Hrishida at seventy-eight was almost
tempted to believe the pessimists but he was madly in love with films
still.
