Mujhe Meri Biwi Se ...
Producer Prakash Mehra and director Harry Baweja will commence a 25-day shooting schdeule from February 1 for Prakash Mehra Pictures’ Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao in and around Mumbai locales. During this, three songs and the entire talkie portion will be picturised on Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Mukul Dev, Arshad Warsi, Priyanka, Suman Ranganathan, Tiku Talsania, Mushtaq Khan and Dinesh Hingoo. Based on a screenplay by Anees Bazmee, it has dialogue by Imtiaz Patel, music by Rajesh Roshan, lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri, editing by Kuldip Mehan, cinematography by Damodar Naidu and sound by Thomas Verghese. After this, only the climax will remain to be picturised.


First copy of Hindustan
The first copy of Mamta Creations’ Hindustan was out on January 12 at Gemini Lab, Chennai. Produced by Mamta Durrani and written and directed by Iqbal Durrani, the film stars Ayub Khan, Depak Tijori, Irfan Kamal, Pooja Dadwal, Raushni Jaffrey, Gulshan Grover, Tinnu Anand, Priya Tendulkar and Shakti Kapoor. Music is by Shyam-Surendra and cinematography by Lenin A Xavier.


Song for Chori Chori
Music director Sajid-Wajid recorded the first song for Om Shakti Combines’ Chori Chori. Penned by Anand Bakshi, it was sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. Being directed by Milan Luthria for producers Lalit Kapoor and Raju Narula,, the film stars Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.


Puru Raaj Kumar in Dosh n
Puru Raaj Kumar and Roopali have been signed to play the romantic lead while Sadashiv Amrapurkar will play a in a major role in Golden Productions’ Dosh. Being produced by Gurmendra Singh and directed and edited by Pappu Phalwinder, the film also stars Om Puri, newfinds Gaurav Ghai and Sonu, Govind Namdeo and Pran. Music directors Manoj-Gajendra recorded the fourth song of the film on January 14 at Sahara India in the voice of Kumar Sanu. The song was penned by Ravi Chopra. The film went on the floors on January 15 with a ten-day shooting schedule at Jeevan Mills, Saki Naka and other locales of Mumbai. Story by Paras Jaiswal, dialogue by Praful Tiwari, lyrics by Naqsh Lyallpuri and Ravi Chopra, cinematography by Baldev Singh, action by Darshan Singh, sound by Harbans Singh, art by Dilip Singh and choreography by Bali are other major credits. Jasvir Singh and Baljeet Singh are the co-producers.


Kasam Se
Producer Pammi Sandhu and director Kundan Shah completed a week-long shooting spell for Kasam Se on Januarh 10 at Golden Resort bungalow, Borivili and other locales of Mumbai wherein many action, dramatic and romantic scenes were picturised. The film stars Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Shekhar Suman, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Ajay Wadhavkar and Shakti Kapoor in key roles. Written by Dilip Shukla, the film has cinematography by Dharma Teja, action by Shyam Kaushal, sound by Rakesh Ranjan, art by Wasiq Khan and music by Anand Raaj Anand. One more heroine is yet to be finalised.


Mera Chan Pardesi
A five-day shooting spell for Jaspreet Films’ Mera Chan Pardesi was completed by director Harinder Gill. Produced by RS Rangila, it stars Randeep Veerinder, Ravinder Mann, Amarjit Dhaliwali, Deepika Singh, Neha Grewal, Dolly, Sherriwalia, Aarty Gouri, Renu Rattan, Mohd. Sadique, Gopi Bhalla, Nittu Pandher, DS Bedi, Sabi Pataria from USA and newfinds Satyakaam and Kudrat. A Dharampal presentation, the film has music by Mohd. Sadique, story by DR Yash Chopra, editing by Tarsem Badhan and action by Kinder Singh. The film is nearing completion.


Mera Intquam due soon
The first copy of Visions’ Mera Intquam will be out soon. Written and directed by Manmohan, it stars Sheeba, Visha, Tinnu Anand, Ravi Kissen, Amita Nangia, Sudhir, Mac Mohan, Rekha Rao and Raza Murad. Slated for release in April, the film has music by Utpal Biswas, lyrics by Sabir and Bahadur Shah Zaffar, cinematography by Rajendra Sharma and editing by Mohan Rathod.


Daku Rani completed
The entire shooting of Anita Pictures’ Daku Rani is now complete. Being directed by Ramesh Lakhiani, it stars Durgesh Nandini, Amit Kapoor, Kiran Kumar, Deepak Shirke, Shalin, Shiva, Shehzad Khan, Black Billy, Anil Nagrath, Rashmi Verma, Dilshad Khan, Bashir Babbar, Satyan Chauhan and Sushil Kumar. A Surjeet Singh Gandhi presentation, the film has music by Gulam Ali, story by Bashir Babbar, cinematography by Deepak Duggal, action by Darshan Singh and choreography by Dinesh.


Dal - The Gangn
Producer Sanjay Thakur will begin the last 15-day shooting schedule of SM International’s Dal-The Gang from January 29 at MBC Studios, Film City, Chandivali Studios and other locales of Igatpuri wherein three songs, some action and other climax scenes will be picturised on Suresh Oberoi, Raj Devgan, Sandhya Mehra, Hitesh, Divya Kumar, Raja, Aroon Verma, Abhirupi Bannerji, Sunila Karambelkar, Monica Patel, Yudhveer Singh, Devas, Sanjay Swaraj, Kiran Ali, DineshHingoo, Ranjeet, Ishrat Ali, Rajesh Bakshi, Mushtaq Khan, Anil Nagrath, Mohan Joshi and Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Directed by Vicky Ranawat it has story by Arjun Arvind, lyrics by Sudhakar Sharma, music by Shyam Sunder, cinematography by S Pappu, action by Hira Singh, choreography by Ganesh Acharya and editing by Kuckoo and Cuckoo.


Bijlee complete
The entire shooting of Bhagat Films’ Bijlee is now complete. Being produced by Bhagat Singh and directed by Ramesh Lakhiani, the film stars Durgesh Nandini, Vjay Solanki, Kiran Kumar, Shalin, Deepak Shirke, Anil Nagrath, Shiva, Shehzad Khan, Black Billy, Rashmi Verma and Dilshad Khan. An OP Goyal presentation, the film has music by Gulam Ali and cinematography by Deepak Duggal.


Laal Joda rolls
Sachi Arts’ Laal Joda went on the floors on January 15 at Esel Studios, MBC Studios, Film City, Basra Studios and other locales of Mumbai with a non-stop 15-day stint. Being directed by Chandni Gupta and Sunny Kapoor for producer Chandni Gupta, it stars Lalitesh, Yamini, Vijay Gupta, Bhavna, Divya, Anjali, Amrit Pal, Satyendra, Shakti Singh, Shiva, Vinod Tripathi, Ramesh Goel, Razzak Khan, Javed Khan, Anirudha Agarwal, Rajinder Kaur, Amrish Gupte, Mehnaz and Chandni Gupta. Written by Sunny Kapoor it has cinematography by Shyamal Chakraborty, action by Binda, choreography by Ramdevan and editing by Prakash Kothare. Meanwhile music director Saurabh recorded all the four songs on January 14 at Musicians. The film is being presented by Khazhanchi Gupta and Avinash Jha is the .co-producer.


500 Ka Note
The editing of Suresh International’s 500 Ka Note commenced on January 24. The film stars Sheeba, Sohaib Khan, Pankaj Dheer, Tinnu Anand, Ravi Kissen, Amita Nangia, Chandrashekhar, Sudhir, Rekha Rao, Anil Nagrath, Mac Mohan, Birbal, Manmauji, Suneha and Siddharth Dhawan in key roles. Written and directed by Manmohan for producer Suresh Chowdhary , the film has music by Utpal Biswas, lyrics by Sabir, cinematography by Rajendra Sharma, choreography by Baba Harman and editing by Mohan Rathod. Anthony Sebastian is the presenter.


Maa Beta
Christian Films has announced the launching of Maa Beta. The film will be based on the story of a young widow and her three month old son. Produced by Helen Anthony, it has story and direction by Manmohan. The starcast and other technical credits are being finalised. The film will go on floors in the end of January.


Dharti Ki Saugandh complete
The entire shooting of Khushi Films’ Dharti Ki Saugandh was completed on January 13 in a non-stop 24-day shooting stint which was held on locales in Sojath city near Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan. Four songs, action, dramatic and emotional alongwith the climax were picturised on Himanshu, Himangini, Madhulika, Girja Shankar, Jugnu, Shiva, Anil Nagrath, Amit Raj, Raza Murad and Shakti Kapoor. Being produced and directed by Vicky Ranawat it has story by Sachindra Sharma, lyrics by Sudhakar Sharma, music by Shyam-Sunder, cinematography by Tapan Basu, action by Hira Singh, choreography by Dinesh and editing by Kuckoo and Cuckoo. The film is being readied for March release.


Khooni Khiladi
The title of Sai Leela Productions’ Maar Diya Jaye Ya Chhod Diya Jaye has been changed to Khooni Khiladi. The film is being produced by Naim Singh and written by Krishna Manav. Music director Chandrama Chandrahi will record all the five songs of the film on Jan 25-26 at Paramount Recording Theatre. Lyrics are by Naim Singh and Surendra Lucknowi who is also presenting the film. The other cast and credits are under finalisation.


Naag Yoni

Singh Films Combines Naag Yoni is all set for release in February. The film stars Sikander, Usha Bachchani, Jay Thakur, Shraddha Sharma, Rashmi Verma, newfinds Bhavesh Vohra, Narendra Kumar, Naresh Dhiman, Nisha Roy and Halwadaas playing important roles. Produced by Virender Singh Raan and written and directed by SN Azhar it has music by Ram Shanker and cinematography by Harish Patel.
