Amanat becomes music video

Amanat, the latest music video to hit the small screen, is truly a compliment to the popular serial Amaanat on Zee Network. It has not only borrowed the title of the serial but also taken the same artistes for its dance number, Zara hatke. The video is directed by Sapna Waghmare, who directs Captain House for Balaji Telefilms.

Prod Swapna Waghmare Joshi on why she chose to capitalise on the popularity of a serial for her very first music video, and she shrugs it off with, “I’m not trying to capitalise on anything. This is my tribute to late Sanjiv Bhattacharya. I am happy that I am doing the video. Who knows, the video may actually help the series.”

The situation for the video is familiar. A stranger tries to woo the girls of the Amaanat household with a song and special tricks and fails. The cast didn’t feel any different shooting the video from the series. “The only difference was that instead of acting we had to dance here,” said Nigoda Ravi Gosai.

Swapna is very happy with the artistes as well as choreographer Naimesh Bhatt, but she has added special effects for the benefit of her young viewers. The dance movements will find identification with anyone who has ever been to a Punjabi wedding.

The video is produced by Ashok Shekhar, based on a concept by executive producer Ajay Goswami. The video is expected to be aired soon. The musicassette has already been released.
