The first scientific film of Bollywood, Lagan - The Dedication has completed their shooting spell and are now into post-production.The film is based on the life story of world famous-scientist Stephen Hawkings played by Yatin Karyekar. The producer-maker of the film is Onion King of Maharashtra Mahesh Kenge from Nashik. Deepa Parab, Sachil Tyagi, Trishna and Nishikant are in the cast. Music by Sanjay Gite, lyrics by Sudhakar Sharma, cinematography by Sanjay Pathak and editing by Amit Singh are the other credits.
Wife Hai To Life Hai
Wife Hai To Life Hai is a musical family entertainer by Logistic Entertainment Network & VR Entertainment. It is produced and presented by Kamlesh Bhandari, co-produced by Virendra Rathore and Manoj Neema. The film portrays three kids who with hilarious sequences try their guts out to enable their maternal uncle to tie the knot. The film has story by Kamlesh Bhandari and music by Durga-Natraj. Phalguni Phatak has lent her voice for an aarati score for Lord Srinathji. Bobby - Love & Lust
After the completion of talky portion of Hyther Kajmi’s film Bobby - Love & Lust a song was picturised on Monalisa recently. Two more songs will be picturised in the end of this month. After the two songs post-production work will start and the film will ready for release end of March. Directed by Rakesh Parmar, the film has Monalisa, Hyder Kazmi, Gaurav Dixit, Usha Bachani, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Rinky Ali, Sanbhaana, Laila, Ekta Jain, Shardha, Mohan Joshi and Milind Gunaji in the cast. Writer-producer Shahid Khan’s Rebecca (Hinglish) to be made under the banner of Alisha International Inc the film will soon be launched at New Zealand and it will be shot entirely in Australia and New Zealand. Shahid Khan, associate producer Iqbal Khakara and assistants Sandeep Kumar Deol and Sarabjeet Singh Sandhu are leaving for New Zealand and Australia to finalise locations and production facilities. One leading pair from Australia and New Zealand will be announced very shortly.

Dara Singh elected President of CINTAA
The Executive Committee of Cine & TV Artistes’ Association in its meeting held on January 29, 2005 placed on record its deep sorrow on the sad demise of it’s President and well-known actor late Amrish Puri. The following resolution was unanimously adopted:
“This meeting of the Executive Committee of Cine & TV Artistes’ Association, Mumbai, held on Saturday, the January 29, 2005 places on record its shock and deep sorrow on the sad and untimely demise of its President Amrish Puri.
In his death, the Indian Film industry has lost one of the finest artistes of the Indian screen. His outstanding performance as an artiste in one of his films Mr. India made him a legend and it will remain a landmark in the history of Indian cinema.
During his tenure as the President of CINTAA, he infused life in the Association. He handled delicate problems of the Association very tactfully and firmly but without annoying or hurting anyone. His contribution towards the welfare of the Association was always outstanding but the cruel hands of destiny snatched him away all of a sudden and the Association became an orphan. The void created due to his sudden departure may never be filled.
Apart from the screen, he was very much active in social and cultural activities. He was a lovable personality, a perfect gentleman and a social worker in the real sense.
He has left unforgettable memories in the hearts of his friends, colleagues and masses all over the country and they shall always remember him with great respect and admiration.
This meeting offers its sincere condolences and pray the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the noble soul of the departed and give courage to his bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss”.
In the said meeting the committee unanimously elected Dara Singh as the President and Johny Lever as the Vice-President of the Association for the year 2005-2006.
S.O.N.G.The Society of National School of Drama Graduate (SONG) in collaboration with P. L. Deshpande, Maharashtra Kala Academy successfully conducted a week-long festival at the Ravindra Natya Mandir.The first day was marked by the inauguration by the well-known playwright Padma Vibhushan Vijay Tendulkar who made a fervent plea to all those who were part of the organisation to try and help the hundreds of talented strugglers who were waiting for a break, an opportunity to prove themselves. He said it was a major tragedy to see so much talent go waste. Mr Tendulkar then felicitated veteran artists from the NSD, Om Puri, OBE, Raj Babbar, MP, Pankaj Kapur, Waman Kendre, Atul Kulkarni and Prof Devendra Raj ‘Ankur’, the head of the NSD now. The evening was followed by a special show of Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, a one-man show performed by Anupam Kher and directed by Feroz Khan.
The second day was marked by a lecture by the well-known playwright Prof Kamlakar Sontakke which was followed by a show of Milind Inamdar Jis Lahore Nesse Dekhiye. The next day was marked by a platform performance by Suhas Joshi titled ‘Smriti Chitrey’. It was followed by Itihaas Tumhe Le Gaya Kanhaiya directed by Nadira Zaheer Babbar and performed by her daughter Juhi Babbar and others.
A workshop conducted by Jaydev Hattangady marked the morning session of the next day and the evening saw a show of Soorya Ki Aantim Kiran Se Soorya Ke Pahle Kiran Tak, directed by Rajendra Gupta and featuring Rajendra Gupta and Neena Gupta. The next day Prof Waman Kendre conducted a workshop (incidentally Prof Kendre played an active part in organising the Natyotsav). It was followed by Goonj, a play directed by KK Raina and performed by Isha Arun and KK Raina. Salim Arif conducted a workshop during the course of the festival and his workshop was followed by a ‘Face to Face’ with Vijay Tendulkar which was a major highlight of the festival. Vineet Kumar conducted a workshop, followed by a ‘Face to Face’ with Dr Shreeram Lagoo. A platform performance of Shaadi Karado Babe by Aashiq and a play titled Badla directed by Anamika Haksar was also stage. Some of the other plays that were performed were directed by Salim Arif, Jaidev Hattangady, Vijay Kumar and Waman Kendre were staged.
The final evening of the festival was presided over by Shyam Benegal who felicitated Naseeruddin Shah, who had also had a ‘Face to Face’ on one of the days of the festival and AN Roy. It was followed by a play, Ismat Aapake Naam directed by Naseer. All the collections of the plays performed for the week went towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the tsunami victims and the festival came to an end with the promise made by all the students, past and present, of the National School of Drama to fulfill Mr Tendulkar’s wish and to have a bigger and better festival next year and improve with every year.
