he muhurat of Hirava Chuda, made under the banner of Twenty First Century Entertainment was held recently at Mhatre Villa, Madh in the presence of Government official Hon. Dashrath Sankhe who broke the auspicious coconut. Also present on the occasion were actor/MP Govinda, producer-director Kirtikumar, Krishnakant Pandya, director Manoj Agarwal, Harry Fernandes, producer Kulbhushan Gupta, Laurel D’souza and Manohar Pandya. The camera was switched on by Dhaneshri Prabhu. Shashi Prabhu, who has worked as a secretary to Govinda, is the producer of this film. This is his first Marathi venture. Suvarna Prabhu is the co-producer while Rajan Prabhu is the executive producer of the film which is directed by Arun Bhosale. Story-screenplay by Suresh Valmiki, dialogue by Shashank Kelve, lyrics by Sadanand Dabir, music by Nirmal Puvar, cinematography by Shashikant Kabre, art-direction by Surjeet Singh-Kishor Mhatre, editing by Arun-Shekhar, choreography by Deepali Vichare, action by Prem Sharma and sound by Sunil Pradhan are the major credits. To be shot in one spell on Madh areas of Mumbai, the film stars Deepali, Milind Gavli, Mohan Joshi, Arun Nalawade, Kuldip Pawar, Rama Joshi, Viju Khote, Dr Vilas Ujawane, Rajan tamhane, Ganesh Pardesi, Deepti Samel, Omkar Manjrekar and Smita Sheval.

Sane Guruji shooting complete
Sane Guruji, a social Marathi film made under the banner of Shree Creations & Amey Infotainment and co-produced by Govt of Maharashtra completed its last shooting stint at Essel Studio. Produced by Utkarsha Malya and Ratnakar Pai, the film has concept by Kapil Patil, Sagun Sawant and Ashish Pednekar, screenplay-dialogue by Ashok Kambli and Dilip Kshirsagr, lyrics by Dilip Kshirsagar, music by Rahul Ranade and Narendra Bhide and art-direction by Ashok Satam. Sandip Kulkrani is in the title role along with Chittaaranjan Kolhatkar, Suhas Bhalekar, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Vikram Gokhale, Pramod Pawar, Samaatha, James, Rajavi, Manoj Kolhatkar, Mangesh Satpute and Manasi Sontakke.The 40-day shooting schedule was completed in eight stints at Amalner, Dhule, Saswad, Pune, Alandi, Pulgaon, Nasik.

Jai Jai Gagangiri ... launched
The muhurat of Jai Jai Gagangiri Maharaj, a new Marathi film made under the banner of Randhava & Randhava took place on the auspicious day of Dassera in the presence of Gagangiri Maharaj himself. Also present were presenter LS Randhawa, producer Kanak Randhawa, director Ashish Ubale and others. The plot revolves around Pramila Inamdar, a devotee of the Maharaj and her family. The title role of the Maharaj is played by Gagangiri Maharaj himself. Rita Bhaduri is doing a Marathi debut with this film. Others in the cast include Ashok Shinde, Aishwarya Narkar, Vijay Gokhale, Shailesh Datar, Gauri Karyekar and Gauri Nigudkar. Dr Vilas Ujawane and Asawari Joshi are in special appearances. To be completely shot at Manori (Mumbai), Gaganbawda, Khopoli and in the ashram at Dajipur, it has lyrics by Prof Dnynesh Vakudkar and Shravan Bal, music by Hari-Arjun and cinematography by Sanjay Khanzode.

The negative cutting of Jiwapad, made under the banner of Mayboli Chitra was held recently at Ravko Lab, Mahim at the hands of veteren actor AK Hangal. Also present on the ocassion were producer Shailesh Raje, director Vishu Raje, actor Dr Girish Oak, Savita Malpekar and cinematographer Charudutta Dukhande. Produced by Shailesh Raje and co-produced by Radhika, Rahul and Vijaya Raje, the film has story and direction by Vishu Raje, lyrics by Parshuram Bagde, music by Lahu Dhavle and choreography by Deepali Vichare-Ketaki Dukhande. The film stars Mohan Joshi, Dr Girish Oak, Pankaj Vishnu, Vijay Chavan, Savita Malpekar, Jayraj Nayar and Samira along with Sulbha Arya and Fayyaz who make guest appearances and debutant Neha Bendre. The film is completely shot at Palghar areas.

The premiere of Sasuchi Maya, made under the banner of V.M.P.K. Productions took place recently at Vita in the presence of MLA Hon. Sadashiv Patil, producer Pratap Salunkhe, executive producer Ashok Salunkhe, director Ramesh Gangane, actor Alka Athlye, Kishori Ambiye, Samira Gujar, Deepti Aaher and Vilas Patil at Bhairavnath Talkies, Vita. Produced by Pratap Salunkhe, Vasant Raje, Sharad Mahajan and directed by Ramesh Gangane, it has story-screenplay by Manjushree Gokhale, dialogue by Manjushree Gokhale and Nitin Kulkarni, music by Chandra-Vijay, lyrics by Dr Shrikant Narule and Nitin Kulkarni. The film stars Alka Athlye, Bharat Daini, Kishori Ambiye, Surekha Kudchi, Nitin Kulkarni, Kaila Raje, Mahesh Khot, Dr Pramod Biradi, Dr Rahul More, Rajshekhar and Usha Naik.
