Neelam is a rich businesswoman who owns a 5-star hotel in a hill-station
near Mumbai. She looks after it with her husband Shekhar, who . was once
an employee of the hotel before Neelam fell in love and married him. Life
is a bed of roses until certain events start scaring Neelam, and she suffers
a mild heart attack.
Shekhar doesnt understand the problem and concludes
that Neelam has gone mad. Neelam is too scared to confront Shekhar. At this
point, Sonali, a distant relative of Neelam comes to know of Neelams
problem. She realises that Shekhar is trying to kill her and usurp her wealth.
Neelam is shocked.
One day when Shekhar beats Neelam, she retaliates.
She poison Shekhars drink and kills him. Realising her folly, she calls
for Sonali, who helps her dispose off the body in the swimming pool so as
to make people believe that Shekhar slipped and drowned when drunk.
The next day the corpse is missing from the pool. Neelam
is tense. She feels that Shekhar is alive, but Sonali tells her she had felt
his pulse and he was dead. Shekhars ghost starts scaring Neelam. She
goes mad and is put in a mental asylum.
RISHTEY
Zee TV, feb. 26, 8.30 p.m.
Janki Devi is the widowed matriarchal head of a traditional
joint family, which comprises of her sons Ajay Kant and Vimla Kant and their
wives Kamla and Asha and grandchildren. Her grand-daughter, Vimla, is recently
married and has come to her maternal home for Holi. Vimlas husband,
Mani Kant, and his cousin, Priya Kant, are coming home for Holi their family.
Vimla has a cousin, Kusum, who is widowed at childhood.
Mani Kant and Priya Kant arrive to play Holi. Priya
Kant sees Kusum and is totally smitten. Even Kusum is attracted to Priya
Kant, but she keeps her distance knowing her widowed status.
On the day of Holi, Priya Kant searches for Kusum and
sprays colour on her. This act is witnessed by Asha and she creates a shindig.
She goes on about the blasphemy committed by Priya Kant in applying colour
to a widow. Priya Kant is initially shocked when he learns that Kusum is
a widow, but he takes a stand and says that these traditions are outdated
and shameful. He declares that he will marry Kusum as he loves her. Saying
so, Priya Kant takes Kusum by the hand and starts to take pheras round the
smouldering Holika.
Priya Kants act outrages Kusums family
and they attack Priya Kant. In the ensuing melee, a shocked and silent Janki
comes between Priya Kant and her family and announces that she herself is
in love with Priya Kant.
... KNOCK KAUN HAI?
Zee TV, feb. 26, 10.30 p.m.
Pallavi is a prankster, and Keshav and family are prime
targets for her. She enters the house as an extortionist and scares the daylight
out of them and has a good laugh. She manages to fool all of them, except
Keshav, and takes this up as a challenge.
When a neighbour comes home, she tells him Gayatri
is in love with him. Then she goes and tells Gayatri that Gunjan wants to
make her his raakhi sister, so she should tie a raakhi for him. She arranges
their meeting and goes and tells Keshav that Gunjan and Gayatri are going
to elope.
Keshav sees them together and misunderstands the whole
situation. But soon Pallavi gets into a real problem. She gets a massive
attack of asthma and she needs help. But they think she is playing one of
her pranks and while she suffers, they laugh. She would have died, but for
Valentines Day. The doctor who treats her falls in love with her.
ZANJEEREIN
Zee TV, feb. 28, 10.00 p.m.
The court case regarding the land dispute has begun.
Everyone is apprehensive about the statement that Indrajit is going to make.
Patwari Chiranjilal is evasive as usual about his role in the changes
deliberately made about the ownership of the land.
Tanuja shows her concern to Paramjit regarding the
statement of Indrajit that may put him into trouble. Rakesh makes a sudden
appearance with an old certificate regarding the ownership of the land by
which Atuls lawyer is about to prove that the land belongs to Atuls
father. But when Indrajit starts making his statement, he surprises everyone
by not only acknowledging his role in changing the records, but also stating
that the land belongs to the entire family and that his conscience has bid
him to make this statement.
X-ZONE-Sikander V
Zee TV, March 4, 9.00
p.m.
Sikander remembers that he is neither Sikander nor
Satya. He is actually Rahul Khanna, a naval officer. While touring Goa, Rana
Bahadur Thapa and his people mistake his identity and capture him. After
which Rana Bahadur Thapa trains Rahul to be like Sikander and make him act
like Sikander in order to unnerve the real Sikander so that he comes out
in the open and then they catch him.
Remembering this, Rahul, rushes to save Natasha. TMC
gets him and tortures him. Rahul learns from RBT that they have killed his
wife and child. He attacks TMC and escapes with Natasha to find RBT.
In the meantime, RBT attacks Sikanders hideout.
Sikander escapes. Rahul finds him and fights him and fights with him. RBT
reaches the spot and is puzzled to find them.
HINDUSTANI
DD-2, March 4 , 9.30 p.m.
Sangram Singh and his commandoes defuse the bomb-blast
and capture Baba Shaikh. Gaddafi is waiting to hear the news of bomb blast.
He also threatens Baba Shaikh. Sangram Singh takes Baba to court.
In the court Baba Shaikh confesses not only about the
recent plans but about earlier bomb blasts, and the home ministers
murder, as well. Sangram Singh and is commandoes are freed. When the police
take Baba out from the court, a masked motorcyclist comes in and whisks Baba
away.
IDHAR UDHAR
DD-1, Feb-25, 9.30 p.m.
Sunita is grumpy and irritable for no rhyme or reason.
Poonam succeeds in pacifying her to some extent and asks her for the reason
of her unusual mood.
Sunita then tells her that her husband, Ajay, did not
call to wish her on the first anniversary of their first meeting, and when
she called him up in London, he was missing.
Poonam dismisses the whole thing as a figment of her
not so very creative imagination and offers to phone up Ajay only to discover
that he had left with Kiran early morning. Sunita gets hysterical because
Ajay and Kiran used to be good friends in London and in her absence they
could have become more than friends. Poonam is worried that Sunita might
do something unimaginable in her hysterical state but to her amazement Sunita
goes off to sleep peacefully.
Next morning brings a happy Kiran to their house announcing
that she has married Ajay and both have come to India for their
honeymoon.
She wanted to give the good news to Sunita personally
that is the reason she came to see her.

Ramesh Venkataraman, Baitarani uses the metaphor of the river to look at
the movement of the poor and destitute from rural Keonjhar to the grime and
