9-day last stint of Tarkieb
Jay Movies’ Tarkieb is being shot in its last schedule from February 21 to 29 at St Andrews’ Auditorium, Bandra wherein two songs are being picturised on the entire starcast. After this, the entire shooting will be complete. Produced by Jay Mehta and directed by Esmayeel Shroff, it stars Nana Patekar, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, Aditya Pancholi, Milind Soman, Raghuvir Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Akhilenra Mishra, Razzak KHan, Deepak Qazir and Ashutosh Rana in important roles. Written by Moin-ud-din, the film has music by Aadesh Shrivastav, lyrics by Nida Fazli, cinematography by Mazhar Kamran, action by Sham Kaushal and sound by Buta Singh. Meanwhile the post-production work of the film is going on and it is readied for April release.


Zindagi Khoobsoorat Hai
The second song of Sain Production’s Zindagi Khoobsoorat Hai was recorded on February 11 at Sound City, Empire House. Sonu Nigam rendered the song under the supervision of music director Anand Raaj Anand. Being directed by Manoj Punj for producer Manjeet Maan, the film has lyrics by Dev Kohli, Suraj Sanim and Shyam Balkar, story by Suraj Sanim and cinematography by Pramod Mittal. Gurudas Maan is playing the title role in the film.


Sai Baba in Hollywood
Director Deepak Balraj Vij completed a week-long schedule for their new film Sai Baba being made under the banner of Denim Enterprises at Sumi Audio Vision, recently, wherein music directors Bali Brahmabhatt-Jaydeep-Manish recorded a bhajan in seven languages. They were rendered in the voices of Bali Brahmabhatt, Poornima Jayram, Sapna Awasthi, Clyde, Vijay Prakash, Master Jeet and Panni. Earlier four songs of the film were recorded by music director Pandurang Dixit in the voices of Vinod Rathod, Mrs Reddy and Munna Aziz. Sudhir Dalvi plays the title role in the film. Ashim Khetrapal plays a key role too. Based on a story by Pandurang Dixit, the film has screenplay and dialogue by Vikas Kapoor, cinematography by Sanjay Malvankar, and editing by Kuldeep Maan. Other cast and credits are under finalisation. The first seven-day shooting stint will be held in the first week of March on Mumbai locales which will be followed by a 15-day shooting spell in America in April.


Vidyarthi in Gujarat
A 15-day shooting schedule for Shri Guru Production’s Vidyarthi commenced on February 25 at Shanku Water Park, Mehsana and other locales of Gujarat. During this spell, two songs and many dramatic, emotional and thrilling scenes are being canned. The film stars Jackie Shroff, Meeta Vashisht, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Mohan Joshi, Swati Verma, Govind Namdeo, Shiva, Huma Khan, Mac Mohan, Raju Shrivastava, Harish Patel, Pushpa Verma, Kishore Bhanushali, Anil Saxena, Nandita Thakur, Johny Fever, Laxmikant Berde and Paresh Rawal along with many children. Being edited and directed by Rakesh Kakaria for producer RS Sodhani, the film has story by RS Pandit, cinematography by Masood Qureshi, action by Akbar Sharif, choreography by Loly Pop and Vicky Khan, sound by Sunil Jadhav, art by Madhu, lyrics by Dev Kohli and music by Anand Raaj Anand.


Song recorded for Ek Nai Disha
Music director-lyricist Kamna Khanna recorded the fourth song of Nitin Creations’ Ek Nai Disha on February 9 at Sahara India. Earlier, the three songs were recorded in the voices of Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam. Being directed by Kirti Kumar for producers AP Sharma and Nitin Sharma, the film starring Ashutosh Rana in the male lead, will go on floors soon with regular shooting schedule.


Post-production of Fankaar
The entire dubbing, mixing and other post-production work of TN Films’ Fankaar has been completed at Prasad Lab, Chennai and the film is being readied for an early release. Starring Kamal Haasan, Farheen, Nazer, Gurudutt, Shivranjim, Nirmala, Sindhuja, Yuvashree, Amrutha, Rajathi, Ashok Rao, Kazan Khan, Shivaji, Chaudhary, Jackie, Pradeep Raj, Nagraj and Charles, it is produced by Rajbans Singh and written and directed by GV Vijay. Being presented by Capt. Kumar Ravishankar, it has dialogue by Umesh Sharma, music by Ilayaraja, editing by P Mohan Raj and cinematography by Jayanan Vincent.


Memsab No.1 launched

Raj Cine Arts’ maiden Hindi venture Memsab No.1 was launched with a muhurat at Sunrise Villa, Versova on February 10. AP Gupta gave the clap while Vasanti Devi broke the coconut, Sheela N Singh switched on the camera and lead pair Satnam Kaur and Gulshan Rana faced the camera for the muhurat shot. The muhurat was followed by a ten-day shooting schedule. Being produced by Virendra Gupta and written and directed by Rajendra R Gupta, it has music by Suman-Sudeep, screenplay and editing by Rajeev Singh, dialogue by Sheela N Singh, choreography by Kanu Mukherjee, action by Darshan Singh and cinematography by FR Khan. The film also stars Vijay Solanki, Shahzad Khan, Joginder, Rajesh Puri, Ali Khan, Dev Malhotra, Mahesh Raj and Tej Sapru in key roles.


Last spell of Dal-The Gang
The last 15-day spell of SM Internationals’ Dal-The Gang commenced from February 15 at Kamal Amrohi Studios, Filmistan Studios, MBC Studios, Film City, Basein Fort and Igatpuri locales wherein three songs and the entire action and climax scenes are being picturised. Being direted by Vicky Ranawat for producer Sanjay Thakur, the film stars Suresh Oberoi, Raj Devgan, Sandhya Mehra, Hitesh, Raja, Arun Verma, Divya Kumar, Abhiroop Banerjee, Devaa, Kiran, Monica Patel, Sunita Karmabelkar, Anil Nagrath, Rajesh Bakshi, Girja Shankar, Ranjeet, Mohan Joshi and Sadashiv Amrapurkar in key roles. Written by Arjun-Arvind, it has lyrics by Sudhakar Sharma, music by Shyam Sunder, cinematography by S Pappu, action by Hira Singh, choreography by Ganesh Acharya and editing by Kuckoo & Cuckoo.


Munadi 50 per cent complete
Director Braj Bhushan has completed a ten-day shooting schedule of Film Divisions’ Munadi at Panvel recently featuring Uday Srivastava, Pyare Mohan Sahay, Manasi Upadhyay, Madhuri Mishra, Jagdish, Prema Kiran, Mehar, Mukesh Chandra and Ranjana Srivastava. Being produced by Kuldeep Sinha, it has story by Anjana Ranjan Das, music by Dinesh Prabhakar, lyrics by Qamar Hajipuri and cinematography by A Anjanelu. With this, 50 per cent of the film is complete.


Songs recorded for Khooni Khiladi
Music director Chandrima Chandrani recorded all the six songs of Sai Leela Productions’ Khooni Khiladi from February 1 to 7 at Paramount Recording Theatre. Penned by Naim Singh and Surender Lucknowi, they were rendered by Harminder Singh, Jaspinder Narula, Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam. Being produced by Naim Singh and presented by Surender Lucknovi, the cast and other technical credits are yet to be finalised. The film commence its regular shooting from March 10 to 20 in Mumbai and Khandala locales.


7-day of Patan-The Fall
Prithvi, Raza Murad, Anmol, Satnam Kaur, Prabhat, Shiva, Pinky, Anoop, Sunil Don, Ranjan Sahu, Tony and Upasana Singh participated in the final seven-day shooting stint of Shashi Kala Films’ Patan-The Fall which was completed on February 1 at various buungalows and other locales of Mumbai. Being produced by Laxmikant and directed by Kantee Karan Dharni, it has story by Kantee-Sanjay, cinematography by Manish Jehangeer, music by Alankar, lyrics by Kuku Prabhas, art by Sunil Singh, choreography by Mahesh and sound by Naresh Sharma.


Dhaar
The editing of First Movie Internationals’ Dhaar was completed recently and the dubbing is in progress at Film City. Being produced by Amit Chandra Sahay and directed by S Chandra, the film stars Sudesh Berry, Priyanka, Aman Jalali, Vishaaka Jhaveri, Javed, Kapil, Bhara, Roy, Mthew, Sandhya, Muskaan, Vishal Bobna, Kirti Rawal, Ramesh Goel, Ritwika, Brij Gopal, Bharat Kapoor, Prithvi and Mahavir Shah in key roles. Written by Sanjay Sinha and KK Dharni, it has music by Jay Vijay, cinematography by Dinesh K Thakkar and action by MS Mani.


Aasakti
The title song for Dogra Films’ Aasakti was recorded on February 14 at FX Studios. Penned by Kuku Prabhas and tuned by Babu Kishan, the song was rendered by Vinod Rathod. Starring Imran Khan, Deeks Kale, Sulu, Archana Kapoor, Raza Murad, Rajesh Jotshi and Arjun in key roles, the film is produced by MS Dogra and JS Dogra. Directed by AR Sarkar, the film has screenplay and dialogue by Hemant Verma, cinematography by Kamlesh Kapadia and lyrics by Sahil Sultanpuri, Kumar Suresh and Rajan Khedha.


Daku Dilruba complete
Producer J Neelam completed another seven day shooting schedule at MBC, Esel Studio, Chandivali and other locales of MUmbai for Deep Jyoti Films’ Daaku Dilruba. With this, the entire talkie portion of the film was complete. Produced by J Neelam and directed by William Hunt, it has music by Nishad Vaidya, dialogue by Raja Awasthi, cinematography by Manish-Jahangir and editing by Prakash Kothare. The film stars Arvindo Jaiswal, Satnam Kaur, Prithvi Singh, Yamini, Vinod Tripathi, Shakaal Shetty, Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad, Joginder, Neelam Vashisht, Shiva, Anil Nagrath and Mohan Joshi.


Dabdaba
Producers Surekha Dhanu-Anjali Dutta completed a four-day shooting spell for Anjali Films Productions’ Dabdaba at Star Villa, AAA Studio and other locales of Mumbai. Jointly produced by Surekha Dhanu and Anjali Dutta, the film has story and direction by Shyam Sonie. Music by Dilip Dutta, lyrics by Nawab Arzoo and Deepak Sneh, cinematography by Hasmukh Rajput and action by Akbar Sharif are the other major credits. The film stars Shoaib Khan, Pooja Dadwal, Arif Rizvi, Anuisha Poddar, Aslam Raza, Alok Nath, Lalit Tiwari, Ali Khan, Pushpa Verma, Dev Malhotra, Raja Hassan and Kiran Kumar in key roles.


BILINGUAL

Ladli completed
Based on a prize-winning Haryanvi story by Dr Surendra Chaudhary, Ladli directed by journalist-turned-filmmaker Ashwini Chaudhary and produced by Kumud Chaudhary and co-produced by Harvinder Malik and S Huda is now complete. This film, being made in Hindi and Haryanvi, stars Arundhati in the lead role alongwith Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Singh, Arun Bakshi, Rajendra Gupta playing key roles. Lalit Sen has composed the music while Maya Govind has penned the lyrics. The film has choreography by Nimesh Bhatt and cinematography by Ashok Behl. It is an NFDC presentation.


Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khas
Producer Kuljeet Singh and director Shyam Ralhans’ venture Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khas being made under the banner of UK Productions, is on the final editing table at Apollo editing. Being made in Hindi and Punjabi, the film has music by Hari-Arjun, lyrics by Dev Kohli, story by Karunesh Thakur, cinematography by Damoder Naidu, choreography by Habiba Rehma. Presented by Urvinder Singh, the film stars Ayesha Julka, Avinash Wadhavan, Pramod Moutho, Raman Wadhava, Paramveer, Reman Singh, Rajesh Puri, Gopi Bhalla and Mahendra Shera. It is slated for Baisakhi release.
