Karthik, Roja teamed
Lakshmi Movie Makers has signed Karthik and Roja for their next venture to be directed Vikraman whose recent release Suryavamsham was a hit. It is for the first time that Roja has been paired with Karthik.

Prasanth in Thillana Thillana
After Jeans, Prasanth’s next film will be Thillana Thillana directed by K Balachander. The film will also have another hero. The final starcast is yet to be finalised.

Ajith, Manthra signed
Sri Venkatachalapathi Creations has signed Ajith and Manthra for their film Sakti Maha Sakti directed by Rajasimhan. The film will have music by SA Rajkumar and camera by Gokulakanan.

Charanraj turns director
Popular villain Charanraj who turned hero in Kannada films, has now turned director with the Tamil film Annan Thangachi. He has signed Saravanan to play a key role in the film in which he also plays the lead. Sruthi plays the female lead. Produced by Srivinaya Films, the film has music by Deva and cinematography by Suri Prakash.

Chitra weds
Actress Chitra of Malayalam and Tamil films married a businessman, Vijayaraghavan, at a simple ceremony in Chennai recently.

Veterans honoured
Veteran directors M Krishnan Nair, PN Menon and MS Mani were conferred honorary memberships by MACTA, the association of Malayalam film technicians for their contribution to cinema.
