Aisa Kyon? - third song picturisedzb Choreographer Habiba Rehman has picturised the third song for Kailash Art International’s Aisa Kyon? on lead pair Rajesh, Radhika and a number of dancers at Film City on December 29 and 30. The film, being produced by Kailash Chand Sharma and directed by BB Sinha has story by Vidur Kamal Nayan, screenplay and dialogue by Shashi Raj, music by Raam Lakshman, lyrics by Dev Kohli, cinematography by Kaka Thakur, action by Kaushal-Moses, art by Naeem Khan, sound by Thomas Varghese and editing by Yakub Khan. Akbar Khan is the production executive. The film stars Mohan Joshi, Johnny Lever, Anil Dhawan, Raza Murad, Sudhir Dalvi, Anant Mahadevan, Harjesh, Avtar Gill, Jagdish, Ram Mohan and Razzak Khan playing important roles.

Uday Srivastava in Munadi

Uday Srivastava has been signed to play an important role in Film Division’s Munadi to be directed by Braj Bhushan. He has already participated in a 10-day shooting stint along wity Pyare Mohan Sahay, Madhuri Mishra, Manasi Upadhyay, Jagdish, Prema Kiran, Mehar and Anjan Srivastava from December 25 at Panvel. The film has story by Anjana Ranjan Das, music by Dinesh Prabhakar and cinematography by A Anjanelu.

Zakhmi Sindoor launched

Shri Sai Shraddha Movies’ Zakhmi Sindoor was launched on Jan 10 with a regular shooting spell in and around locales of Mumbai. The film is being produced by Veena Sharma and editied and directed by Ratan Raaha. Story by Sachindra Sharma, music by Baba-Jagirdar, cinematography by Masud Qureshi, action by Darshan Singh, art by Indrajeet Singh and lyris by Rafiq Allahabadi and S Trivender are the other major credits. The cast and other technical credits are to be finalised.

Ashok Masti acts in Laadli

Playback singer Ashok Masti, who has rendered a song for the Haryanvi-Hindi bi-lingual Laadli is also acting in the film. The song ‘Deewani main deewani...’ has been penned by Bhulle Shah, while the music has been composed by Lalit Sen. The film stars Ashutosh Rana, Arundhati and Sanjay Singh in key roles. Being made under the banner of Pratibimb Communications is being produced by Kumud Chaudhary and directed by Ashwini Chaudhary.

Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar

Talking Pictures’ maiden venture Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar is being shot in a 12-day shoot from February 5 at different locales in Mumbai. Director Hansal Mehta is picturising some talkie portions. Also one dance number directed by choreographer Umesh Jadhav is also being picturised on Manoj Bajpai and Tabu with a huge gruop of junior artists. The song was recorded in the last week of December ’99 by music director Vishal Bharadwaj at Satya and Sahara Studios in the voice of Abhijeet and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The lyrics for the song were by Piyush Mishra. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Srivastava, Kishore Kadam and Harsh Chhaya. Story and screenplay by Saurabh Shukla, action by Amin Gani, cinematography by Sanjay Kapoor and art by Ajay Verekar are the other major credits. After this schedule 25 per cent of the film will be complete.

Aao Bhaag Chalen

A 5-day shooting spell was completed for JJ Films’ Aao Bhaag Chalen on February 2 at Kishore Kumar’s bungalow, Juhu, Mumbai and various locales of Lonavala. Director Prakash Kapoor canned emotional and comic scenes on Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Tushima Singh, Anjali Kolhapure, Mala Kapadia and others. It also stars Ajay Kumar, Arif Khan, Malashree, Alok Nath, Reema, Ashok Saraf, Pankaj Berry, Deepak Parashar and Neelima Parodakar. Produced by Jasbir Singh Khurana and directed by Prakash Kapoor it has story and lyrics by Akhtar Romani, cinematography by Sashi Ksahatriya and music by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen. Mintoo Khurana is the executive producer.

Yeh Raat

The entire post-production of producer Alok Rajput’s Chintu Ruia directed Yeh Raat was completed on February 2 at AG Films and BR Theatre, Mumbai. The first copy will be out very soon. The film stars Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Krishna, Monica, Arjun, Mehndi, Upma, Ajay Bali, Shiva, Banwari Lal Jhol, Tarana, Preeti, Sonu Batra, Anees Khan and Raja Hassan in important roles. Dialogue by Dhruv Singh, cinematography by Ashok Rao and sound by Banne Khan are some of the technical credits. It’s a Mannu Surti presentation.

Bedaag

Music director Nazma Shaikh has recorded all the eight songs of Pick Up The World Films’ Bedaag recently at Sargam Recording Theatre. Penned by Qamar Kashmiri, Naqsh Lyallpuri and Khawar Zaman the songs were rendered by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Usha Timothy, Pradeep Gunjan and Mohd. Aziz. Writer-producer-director Qamar Kashmiri has also picturised four songs of the film on newfind Arpita who is playing the female lead recently at Sunrise Villa, Seven Bungalows and other locales of Mumbai. Other cast will soon be finalised. A 20-day final shooting spell will be held in March at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. Cinematography by Omee Bahl, sound by Kailashnath Chowdhary, art by Hitesh Desai and editing by Satyaprakash Suri are the other major credits.

Meri Pyari Bahenia Banegi Dulhania

Dubbing of Kundaasa International’s Meri Pyari Bahania Banegi Dulhania began from February 8 in Mumbai. The film is being produced by Vijay Upadhyay and directed by Jayant Gilater. It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Sheena, Sindhu, Vishwajeet Pradha, Indrajeet Suchdeva, Sulbha Arya, Bhairavi, Vaidya and Sanjay Singh. Story by Charan, screenplay and dialogue by Shekhar Shailesh, music by Medhu Burman-Gopal Burman, cinematography by KV Ramanna, choreography by Sudhakar and editing by Deepak-Vilas are the other major credits.

Aansu

Guru Teg Bahadur Films’ Aansu was shot in a non-stop 20-day shooting stint on Ludhiana locales from Jan 10 to 30. The film, now almost complete except for a 4-day shooting to be held in Mumbai is produced by Makhanlal Musafit, RK Pardesi and Gagandeep Pardesi and has direction by Avtar Singh. It stars Vishal Sharma, Aarti Gauri, Vicky, Rimmy, Bhullar, ML Rahi, Shiva, Ali Khan, Ramesh Goel, JP Pardesi, Bhupendra and Shakti Kapoor in key roles. Story by Satpal Joshila, lyrics by Wajeed Puri, music by Devki Anand, action by Azad and choreography by Bali are the other major credits.

Laal Joda is complete

Sachi Arts’ Laal Joda was shot on February 2 and 3 at Basra Studio and Madh Island. Two songs and scenes were picturised on Lalitesh, Yamini, Vijay Gupta, Bhavna and Divya, Anjali, Amrit Pal, Satyendra, Shakti Kapoor, Shiva, Vinod Tripathi, Ramesh Goel, Razzak Khan, Javed Khan, Rajinder Kaur and Chandni Gupta. Produced by Chandni Gupta it has direction by Sunny Kapoor and Chandni Gupta, cinematography by Shyamal Chakraborty, music by Sourabh and editing by Prakash Kothare.

Sana Arts’ Prod. No.1

Sana Arts Creation’s Production No.1 will be launched on February 25 at Mumbai with a 7-day shooting spell at various locales of Mumbai.
