Anaida enthralls
Greek president
Oova oova
girl Anaida was the privileged one to meet and have a chat with the President
of Greece, Constantinos Stephanopoulos, who was on his first state visit
to India. Since the pop singer has Greek origins, she was among the select
invitees for the reception of the Greek president at a five-star hotel in
New Delhi first, and later in Mumbai. It was a big honour for me,
said an excited Anaida. She was thrilled that the President was impressed
with her song with Greeces leading musician and vocalist, Stefanos
Korkolis. The President described the song as magical according
to Anaida. The song, a duet titled Anaida, was released in Greece last month,
and has already become popular. Sung partially in Hindi and Greek, Stefanos
has dedicated the number to Anaida.
Illayaraja springs
a surprise
The
stupendous success of the audio cassettes sales of Illayarajas score
in Kathiliku Mariyathai has come as a big surprise to the audio industry.
The maestro had ceased to be a favourite with the teenage crowd and it had
been a long time since he had given any hit. Apart from this, the producers
did not run any promos on TV or hold any launch function for the audio release.
So the general opinion is what contributed to the sales of the album was
the box-office success of the film. Keep it up Raja. |
