Kamal Haasan
Playing it cool

Kamal Haasan's epic Hey!Ram is about to be released on February 18 all over. He isn't perturbed by the heavy financial stakes. Nor is he anxious about the film's fate, On the contrary, Kamal is remarkably cool about the film that could make or break his production house Raajkamal Films International, Heck, Kamal isn't even bothered about the censorship brakes that have been intermittenly applied to his precious film. What really gets this extraordinarily talented actor-filmmaker and, yes, singer-musician's goat is the precedent that the censorial attitude to Hey! Ram sets for future filmmakers-not just Kamal himself, but all other likeminded cinema-loving directors who are likely to be subjected to irrational cuts. In a busines (all said and done, isn't filmaking a money-generating enterprise?) governed by narrow self interests, it's a rare, if not impossible, to come across a man as dedicated to cinema, as passionately and singlemindely involved in its every department as Kamal Haasan...

SHAH RUKH KHAN
I want to be the Sean Connery of India

Dreamz Unlimited is caught up in a blur of activity. Aziz Mirza and Juhi Chawla are anxious about the box-office takings of their dream project Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. The third partner of Dreamz Unlimited has dreams unlimited in the editing room.

Jolly Mera Naam

A remix album was the only way in which I could pack all my hits into one album in a short and sweet fashion. With this album, I hope to make my voice known to the young generation and pave the way for an original album next time
