Sangeeta Music launched

Sangeeta Music, a new audio company, was launched in Mumbai on December 2, with the formal release of its first Hindi pop album Saath Mein..., at the hands of well-known music director Bappi Lahiri. The audio set-up is the brainchild of 23-year-old Sangeeta Trivedi, an accomplished tabla player, who announced at the launch function that a couple of albums were in the pipeline, one of them in Marathi and the other consisting of ghazals.

Saath Mein... has eight songs set to music by Bappi Lahiri himself. The songs have been rendered by Sudhir Kumar, whose name is familiar to viewers of Delhi television, and who is aspiring to make a name for himself as a singer of note in the field of light music. The songs have been written by Ateeque Allahabadi (who has written songs for two films so far: Aakhri Pratigya and Bade Nawab Chote Nawab).

The music video of the title song Ek haseen khwab dekha raat mein, was screened at the function. The song features Sangeeta Trivdei and Sudhir Kumar. Choreographed by Jay Borade, it has been directed by Javed R Khan.
