Navalkar's double standards questioned by
theatrefolk
Now that Maharashtras crusading minister for cultural affairs,
Pramod Navalkar, has managed to kickstart the slumbering, three-year-old
Stage Performances Scrutiny Board into high drive, Mumbais musicians
and theatrefolk are an angry and disgruntled lot. While Navalkar says his
mission is to clamp down on vulgarity and derogatory references to national
and religious figures in stage acts, the performers accuse him of double
standards.
