Ank is a professional Theatre Group and has long felt the need for young actors and actresses who possess certain basic skills and some work experience. This is a continuous requirement for a prolific theatre group like Ank which has been holding small workshops of 10 - 15 days to update and introduce new skills to its actors. However, since it has become increasingly difficult to come by people with the requisite skills, Ank has now decided to conduct a larger workshop of three months which concentrates on all aspects of acting and theatre, emphasising on speech, diction and body language. This workshop will start in the first week of May, 2002.

Although a number of acting classes are held in and around the city, a workshop conducted by a performing body like Ank has the ability and the advantage of addressing the specific skill requirements of the actor onstage. The workshop will culminate in a full length production which will enable the participants to realise their strengths in the presence of a live audience.

The workshop will consist of two batches of 10 students each. The participants will be picked up depending on their eligibility adjudged through information stated in their application forms and through interviews.
