The film has opened to bumper houses in Mumbai and the South. The opening is good in the rest of the country too. The press has loved the film and the audience too has reacted in the same way.

Aankhen

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the film was house-full all over, but Monday onwards the collections took a tumble, except in Mumbai, and to certain extent in South, where such comedies are accepted. The real hero of the film is undoubtedly Paresh Rawal. In Mumbai it collected 93% in the first week and in Delhi 65 per cent.

Kitne Door Kitne Paas

The film has failed at the box-office. In the second week the collections were just 20 per cent in Mumbai, and were equally bad all over India.

Kya Yehi Pyar Hai

Make a different film and you are sure that even if the entire country may not accept your film, at least Mumbai will. And that’s why KYPH is still steady in Mumbai. In the third week the collections were 50 per cent.

16th December

After Raaz, this film is a winner. It will do a business of over Rs 1 crore per major territory, and at least Rs. 1.5 crore in the Mumbai circuit.

NEXT WEEK

Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage

This is Hrithik Roshan’s first solo film after his debut release Kaho Na... Pyar Hai, and co-starring the same heroine Amisha Patel. Though the film has not been hyped as much as it should have been, the advance booking has been good.
