Noted director Satyan Anthicaud is to make yet another film with Jayaram and Samyuktha Verma in the lead roles. It is to be noted that Samyuktha Verma had made her entry into film industry with Satyan Anthicaud’s Veendum Chila Veettukaaryangal, in which she had starred opposite Jayaram. This film, to be scripted by Lohitadas, will also have in the cast Innocent, Oduvil Unnikrishnan and KPAC Lalitha and will begin in Ottapaalam soon.

Gramophone, Kamal’s latest

Director Kamal, whose low-budget Meghmalhaar recently emerged successful at the box-office, has announced a new film, Gramophone. To be based on story by Iqbal Kuttipuram, the film will have Dileep in the lead. Script will be by the director himself. The film, likely to be a musical, will feature music by Vidyasagar.

Murali, Kalabhavan in Roopaantharam

Veteran Murali and Kalabhavan Mani are to play key roles in Roopaantharam, to be produced by Selvaraj under the banner of Sreelekshmi Productions and directed by Sivaprasad. Scripted by Sharath Chandran Wyanaadan, the film is about an undertaker and his son, who are engaged in a bitter fight with each other. While Murali plays the father, Mani is his son. It’s very much likely that film lovers of Kerala would get a chance to see Murali in full form after a long gap of time.

Prithviraj in Radhika’s Tamil film

Prithviraj, son of late actor Sukumaran, who is making his debut in the Renjith-directed Nandanam, is also getting busy in Malayalam with many new offers coming his way. Anyhow this young star has got a very interesting offer from Tamil. Radhika, who is a well established actress herself, has decided to cast Prithviraj in the lead in her maiden directorial venture to be shot in New Zealand. The film will feature Gayathry Raghuram in the female lead.

Koottikkal Jayachandran in Chirikudukka

Koottikkal Jayachandran, who is very much popular among mini-screen viewers as the anchor of the popular comedy show Comedy Time on Surya TV, is to do the lead role in Chirikkudukka, to be directed by TS Saji. The film, to be produced by Dinesh Panicker, will commence in a few weeks. This will be director TS Saji’s next film after the yet-to-be released Thillaana Thillaana.

Sibi’s valentines day

Reputed director Sibi Malayil, whose Ishtam was a hit last year, is busy shooting his latest Aayiraththiloruvan these days. In the meantime, he has announced yet another film, Valentine’s Day, featuring newcomers in the cast. To be produced by Siyad Kokker under the banner of Kokkers films, Valentines’s Day will have script by M Sindhuraj and music by Vidyasaagar. It will be a full-fledged college campus movie. The shoot is likely to commence in May.

Viji Thampy directs Nammal Thammil

Prithviraj and Indrajit, the two sons of late actor Sukumaran and TV star Mallika Sukumaran, are to do the key roles in director Viji Thampy’s new film Nammal Thammil. It was Viji Thampy who had given Indrajit his break in the tele-cinema Annie. Indrajit, however, is making his debut on the big screen with Vinayan’s Oomapenninu Uriyadapayyan and is also doing a key role in Lal Jose’s Meesha Madhavan. Prithviraaj is making his debut with Renjith’s Nandanam and has got some new offers too. It’s Ishtam fame Navya Nair who is playing the female lead in Nammal Thammil, to be produced by Evershine Films. To be scripted by Alex Kadavil and Mohan Vadakkedaththu, the film will have lyrics by Gireesh Puthencherry, music by Vidyasagar, camera by Rajeev Ravi, editing by Sreekar Prasad and art-direction by Suresh Kollam. The cast of the film also includes Balachandra Menon, Siddique, Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisri Ashokan, Salim Kumar, Shaju and Bhavani. Nammal Thammil, which will be a campus story will be shot in Thiruvananthapuram and will commence in the first week of May. “Since this is a campus story and since I have to shoot in campuses, I am waiting for the colleges to close for summer”, says Viji Thampy.
