From April every
Wednesday at 9.30 pm, HBO presents The Great Escapes. A series where
a bunch of guys, for whom there is no situation tough enough that
they cant get out of and no prison secure enough to hold them
forever.
In the sci-fi
action thriller Fortress 2, starring Chritopher Lambert, Liz May
Brice and Beth Toussaint, the enemy of an ultra powerful corporation
must break out of a maximum-security prison 26,000 miles away from
earth in space and make his way back home to save his wife and son.
Escape From
Alcatraz is a dramatisation of the only known escape by a group
of prisoners from infamous maximum-security prison that was reputed
to be escape-proof. Watch Clint Eastwood at his best to lead the
team on April 10. Then theres Escape Under Pressure on April
17 and Escape From L.A. on April 24.

Worlds new season
BBC launches
a special travel season, Voyager in April with Michael Palins
Hemingway Adventure as he follows in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway
through the many exotic locations the author visited and wrote about
in his novels. From the frantic pace of the Spanish festivals to
safaris on Kenyas Amboseli plains and onwards via the US to
Havana, Cuba, Palin imitates some of Hemingways risky adventures
as well as his passion for life.
The Skeleton
Coast will have viewers follow Benedict Allens three and a
half month solo walk through the length of the beautiful but dangerous
Namib desert in Africa, with camels for his company.
A unique look
at powerful woman today takes the viewers through to the end of
June with the Women At The Top season of specially commissioned
programmes. And Frontiers Of Flights is targetted at aviation enthusiasts.
ITAs
two day interface: on television
Following its
television awards, the Indian Television Academy (ITA) is hosting
a two day seminar titled On Television. The event will provide industry
professionals the opportunity to network on six aspects of the industry
viz: Channels, Production, Marketing, Channel-Producer Relations,
Legal & Financial Matters, and Talent. Each of these aspects

IPEX
2002
The National
Exhibition Centre, Birmingham (UK), from April 9 to 17, 2002 will
be booked for IPEX, the global technology event for print, publishing
and media. Its one of the leading events in the world, where
digital publishing meets print. More than 2000 of the worlds
leading companies will participate in this event, in a spread out
area of 12,000 sq.mts, occupying 15 halls of the UKs leading
exhibition venue. This year, IPEX is going to be the largest, defining
its position as one of the top four graphic arts events in the international
exhibition calender.
