Vamshakobba
Nothing
to miss
Surprisingly,
the title has no resemblance in the film whatsoever. Vamshakobba
means a Samaritan. But the title does not suit the activities of
the hero of the film. It seems as the film had to be called something
thus the title. Hero Jaggesh does not do any good deed to acquire
this precious title. In fact, he is spoiling the atmosphere with
double meaning dialogues. With 100 films to his credit and a good
reputation in society, isnt it time for him to deviate from
the cheap and vulgar films.
Singari Gowda
(Jaggesh) is a wayward and is always after women. During one of
his usual night rounds to a prostitutes house, he finds a
sudden change in the atmosphere as, without his knowledge, a good
family has occupied the prostitutes house. It is the case
of mistaken identity. There is a girl in the house who is the new
teacher at the village school. As Singari Gowda leaves the house
after learning the truth, but his detractors throng the house and
the innocent girl Sowbhagya gets a bad name. To save the girl, Gowda
marries her to everyones surprise. But he has a secret lover
Kalyani with whom he used to play pranks. Soon Gowda is blessed
with a male child. But Kalyani and his opponent gang are waiting
to take revenge on Singari Gowda. A confusion is created when Gowdas
detractor lies about him and Kalyani. This angers Gowda thus disturbing
the peace in his house. Sowbhagya brings Kalyani home and confronts
her husband. In the climax, Sowbhagya learns that her husband is
innocent. But Kalyani is sentenced to imprisonment. What happens
after Kalyanis return is shown in a flashback.
Sujitha has
performed well while Manichandana looks pretty. Jaggesh, with his
usual mannerism, is okay. The song rendered in his voice is tolerable.
A senior actor like Mukyamantri Chandru shouldnt have accepted
the role in this film.
The songs are
just average. The photography is not up to the mark.
This is a film
for Jaggesh fans and front bench audience.
Ghalate
Madhuve
Wasted
effort
This wedding
is a waste of time. It is like going to a wedding, eating non-spicy
food and coming away without having any sweet dish. This madhuve
is like many innumerable films that have come and gone. Added to
this, there are major technical lapses. It is a torture to sit and
watch this film. It seems that after shooting the film, senior director
Ramamurthy must have detached from it. With a lovely comedy team,
the director of over 25 films, fails evoke titillating situation.
The first half is a sheer waste. The technical team has done a shoddy
job and it is surprising that the director was not aware of it.
Poor photography, music and the inept dialogue recording is sickening
to watch.
Orphan Krishan (Shashikumar), working in a company not known to
us till the last frame, is a Samaritan. Every month he distributes
a major portion of his salary amongst his colleagues. So naturally,
he gets love and affection from them in return. Radha, a new entrant
to the office, falls in love with Krishna. Initially Krishna draws
away from her. But when Krishna proposes marriage to her, Radha
has a condition. Her father, a rich agriculturist, wants his daughter
to marry into a family full of people. So the office colleagues
chalk out a plan to pretend as Krishnas relatives. The scene
shifts to a village. Each one of the office colleague claims to
be related to Krishna and Radhas father is happy. But there
are trouble makers in the villagers. The wedding takes place after
a fight.
Shobaraj, the popular villain who is in a supporting character is
the only consolation in the film. Rest of them dont impress.
Newcomer Deepti is not a heroine material. Look out for better entertainment.
