TARA Marathi was re-launched with an all new line of programming, new look and fresh initiatives to further distribution on March 17 , 2002 with Eternal Dreams. Not only is the channel sporting a new look, it has introduced fresh programming content for its comeback. There are also renewed efforts in the distribution of the channel, to boost the reach to remote parts of Maharashtra. The re-launch is proposed under the aegis of a new management team from Eternal Dreams; which will lend its expertise in associated fields of programming, sales and marketing and distribution. The new programming will include non-stop blockbuster film festival, autobiographical series, mythologicals, events and plays together with new daily /weekly soaps. The new look entails a new logo and a complete change in channel packaging and graphics. Taranjit Singh, visual effects director of Hindi films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Mohabattein, has undertaken the designing and execution. TARA Marathi hopes to reach increased audience penetration and reach in the state with the help of an association with the founder of a leading cable network.

The Baaps of Bollywood on ETC

See Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand, the icons of Indian cinema coming together to dazzle the cine-goers. In a special programme titled The Baaps of Bollywood (TBOB), starting April 3, at 8.30 pm, these four stalwarts will enthrall the audience in the month of April on ETC . Beginning with Dada Moni Ashok Kumar, the channel will present Dilip Kumar on April 10, Raj Kapoor on April 17 and Dev Anand on April 24.

Each week, TBOB will highlight one star and pay a tribute to their illustirous career, highs and lows in professional as well as personal life. More importantly it will present the story of their growth in film indsutry and how each has made the industry richer in their own unique way. Anchor Suresh Menon will take the viewers on this nostalgic journey .Intercepted with songs and scenes of their films The Baaps Of Bollywood is infotainment for the viewers. It will also present the viewpoint of present day personalities on them.
