Joshi-Mammootty to team again

Mammootty, undoubtedly, owes a lot to director Joshi! Otherwise why would he agree to do a film for this one-time hitmaker of Malayalam cinema, whose Dubai, with Mammootty himself in the lead had bombed miserably last year? Yes, it is none other than Joshi who had given Mammootty major hits like Nirakkoottu, New Delhi and Nair Saab. Anyhow, Mammootty is to do yet another film for Joshi, who is, perhaps, very much disappointed these days after the utter failure of Dubai and Praja, his last two films. The film will be made under the banner of Kavyachandrika and will be scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam. Two leading actresses are to feature in the film. Siddique too would play a key role. Of course, there was a time when the team of Joshi and Mammootty would work sure magic at the box-office. But that’s all a thing of the past. At least that is what Dubai proves. But anything can happen here. Who knows, maybe this new venture may revive the old-time magic for the duo.
