BBC World’s India-specific programmes are back with a bang! A new reality show, a new series on Muslims in Britain, and the mother of all quizzes are among the shows that reinstate the India-specific programmes on BBC World. Also catch the hottest political debates, the best business analysis, interviews of famous personalities from all walks of life and much more at 2200 IST everyday.

Islam UK/East/Bindi Millionnaires (Mondays). Islam UK is a unique seven-part series sensitively explores the diverse aspects of the Muslim experience in Britain today. East, a three part series starting February, profiles three young British Asian women, charts the beauty business and recounts the escape of three sisters from forced marriage in Pakistan. Bindi Millionaires follows this theme in a three part series in March as it profiles three British Asians who figure in the Sunday Times Rich List.

Commando! (Tuesdays, repeats Saturdays) a new thirteen part observational series about the toughest training course in the Indian Army; this programme is recorded in the Army Commando Training School, Belgaum in Karnataka. Mastermind India (Thursdays) one of the most intellectually demanding quiz shows in the world recommences the fourth series in its entirety. Watch the battle of minds for the most coveted quizzing accolade in India. Face to Face (Wednesdays) a new series of this weekly chat show continues to feature captivating interviews with leading personalities who are achievers in their fields. India Business Report (Sundays) continues to bring you a weekly update on economic developments from across India including news and views on Indian business, finance and industry. Question Time India (Fridays) continues to put politicians in the hot seat with host Prannoy Roy giving voters a chance to let politicians know what they think of those who govern them.

Also in the coming quarter, BBC World brings a special selection of global programmes and a special Hollywood season. In January, World Business Report and The World Debate come from the World Economic Forum in Davos. In addition to this, examine the origins and developments of economics in Road to Riches, and chart the growth of gambling in High Stakes. To coincide with the 2002 Six-Nations championships in February, The Union Game tells the history of Rugby Union from its accidental beginnings into a global sport played in over 90 countries. Also in February, Killers Don’t Cry visits South Africa’s most violent prison, before following one inmate’s release and attempts to change his ways in The Homecoming. Throughout March, The Hollywood Years season celebrates the history, glitz and glamour of Tinseltown.
