Kangan, which
premiered a couple of months back on Star Plus, has some high voltage
drama in store for its viewers. Kartika Rane who plays Chandni in
the soap is yet another victim of circumstances. Close on the heels
of betrayal and desertion by her lover Paritosh (Lalit Parimoo),
comes the decision of her illustrious family who disown their beloved
daughter for causing shame and dishonour to their name and esteem.
Little do they know that Chandnis naivete and innocence has
been exploited by the shrewd and evil Paritosh, who on the pretext
of marriage played with her feeling and emotions and manipulated
his way to cause her such public disgrace, so as to avenge his own
insult (initially Chandani had rejected his marriage proposal).
Armed with
the intention to bring Chandni to her knees, Paritoshs vile
ways attacks the gullible and unassuming Chandni who is in love
with him. His ruthless attitude leaves the innocent girl full of
guilt and despair on the crossroads of life. Chandni refuses to
give up and decides to fight her battle with Paritosh for the injustice
meted out to her true innocent love. The woman in Chandni rises
to the occasion, firm, determined and set to match every step with
the man whom she once loved deeply, but has to now teach a lesson,
for belying her trust. And how she beats Paritosh at his own wicked
game is the most interesting part. She starts living with her uncle
Arun Govil and even works in his office, where she bumps into Paritoshs
younger brother Anuj. And guess what? Well she gets married to Anuj
and enters Paritoshs house as his younger brothers wife
to take revenge and fights the battle.
What will happen
to Paritosh? Watch out for the twist in the tale. How Chandani takes
on Paritosh at his own house. Kangan on Star Plus is aired every
Thursdays at 9.30 pm.
