Neetho ChepalaniMari, Syamala and Peddi Reddy have roped in debutant director Satyanaidu to helm their love story. "We have wrapped up the talkie part in just 16 days with the co-operation of all artistes," claims the director who has assisted many directors in Telugu filmdom. Music is by Koti. Brahmanandam, Giribabu and Sudhakar are also in the cast. "We are planning to shoot five songs in Kerala. Ooty and Vizag soon," disclosed executive producer Sreedhar Reddy.

Hyderabad
Sivacharan makes his debut

HyderabadPopular action director Raju is introducing his son Sivacharan as the hero with Hyderabad which revolves around the underworld activities in the twin cities. "It is a tale of an innocent youth who gets hooked to the world of crime," he reveals as he feels rowdies are made and not born. Raju has ideally chosen a script to present his well-built son as an all-rounder rather than just an action star. "I was stunned by his emotional performance on the first day itself," revealed the director who claims that the role demands a seasoned actor. The director, brother of actor Saikumar, claims that they had tough time in shooting on actual locations and with real crowds but expressed satisfaction about the outcome. Ravali plays the pivotal role of a prostitute and maestro Illayaraja is composing music. Saikumar’s another brother Ravishankar plays the dreaded villain with Bramaji and Chinna in other key roles. Raju who has been in the industry for more than 23 years describes the film as an ‘excellent work’ and is planning to release in October.

Mudhu
A novel script

MudhuProducer-director Venkatramana Reddy claims to have wrapped up Mudhu, a love story with a family backdrop and is planning to release it soon. "It is a youth-based entertainer for all sections," states Reddy who is introducing Laxman and Nikitha besides music director Murali. Instead of splitting the lovers on the grounds of money and caste, he claims to have created the wedge between the two souls in a ‘novel’ way. After making his debut with a murder mystery based on a real story, he has made a love story with a family backdrop and now he is most excited about his next project Iddarame. "The film will have only two characters," reveals Reddy who is co-producing with Satyanarayana. He is planning to shoot the whole film in Pollachi unmindful of the 24 percent entertainment tax. He would finalise the two new faces to play the lead and all credits shortly. However Reddy should be lauded for attempting varied genres.

Bejawada Police Station
New faces in the film

Producer Nirmala of Sripaada Creations is introducing Keshav and Silpa Anand besides new director Haribabu with Bejawada Police Station which was launched recently at Ramanaidu Cine village. "It was inspired by a real-life incident at Vijayawada," states the director about the script penned by Posani Muralikrishna. An upright police officer is dismissed but he continues his service unofficially forms the crux of the storyline. "I have undergone training in acting and fighting," reveals debutant Keshav. "Though the theme is oft-repeated but the treatment would be fresh" disclosed director.

Tellavarithe Chaalu
Horror mystery

Sri Ram Art Creations completed the shooting schedule of their suspense thriller Tellavarithe Chaalu, directed by A.V.S. David with Vivekanand and Anuradha in the lead. Talking to media persons during the digital track mixing at Prasad Studios, Chennai, writer Sri Ramakrishna says, "it is a one of its kind movie. A beautiful love story is interlinked with horror and a murder mystery. Debutant Vivekanand plays the anti-hero. A model co-ordinater, he goes into a fit of lust against a model (Swetha) which leads to the mystery part. How his lady love (Anuradha) brings in him a change forms the rest of the story. The producers are sparing no efforts to make it on par with any big budget venture. The film definitely offers a variety fare as such novel screenplay has not touched the Telugu screen in recent times."

Producers G. Prem Kumar and C. Sudhakar says that they have a major asset in the form of their dialogue writer Sriramakrishna. "He has done excellent work. So have the other technical team and the artistes. As per the dictates of the theme, there are no songs in the film. But Aravind Siddharth’s background score adequately cmpensates. We are sure that the audience would appreciate our efforts. We plan to release the movie in the last week of September".

Terminator 2 in Telugu

Terminator 2Sri Aroma Pictures have acquired the Telugu dubbing rights of the popular English film, Terminator 2 - The Judgement, directed by James Cameroon. The dubbing work is in progress in Chennai, says the producer Radhika Rao.

"A ten year boy is going to head the world in the coming years. A celestial computer-gene group called cyberg could not tolerate this and in order to finish the boy send T-1000, a robot. But the boy’s mother creates the Terminator 2 on a computer. Terminator 2 spoils the attempts of the villain and saves the boy. He annihilates the cyberg. The graphics in the movie stunned the audience the world over. Now by dubbing the film in Telugu, the idea is to bring it closer to the native audience as well".

Prema Silpi
Story of sisters

Prema SilpiSri Saibaba Arts’ Prema Silpi, starring Shekeela and Sajani as sisters, has completed its dubbing work and is ready for release. "The two sisters have an uncle who is the villain of the story. He sees to it that the two sisters remain unwed. The uncle has a daughter who is in love. But the boy’s father fixes his son’s wedding with another girl. The two lovers commit suicide. Amidst all this, the sisters take their life into their hands, Shakeela marries a military officer and Sajani, a sculptor. "The romantic interludes are in tune with the story," says the director Ramesh Das. Malluri Venkat has written the dialogue while Bhupathy has handled the camera.

Ame Korikalu
A remake

Ame KorikaluThe Malayalam hit, Ariyade is coming to Telugu screen as Ame Korikalu from the makers of Cheppalenu Agalenu of S.P. Films. "The Malayalam version was a super hit. It is a film on voyeurism. The hero Sujith works as a car driver with in an estate. The estate owner’s wife, Anuja takes the car driver as her paramour. The second heroine Lavanya falls in love with the hero but he does not respond. Anuja’s husband goes to jail in a case. Attracted by the beautiful Anjua, the hero develops intimacy with her. When her husband returns from jail, the climax takes a new turn. It is a triangle love story with a liberal dose of sentiment," says producer S. Ravi.

Sai Ramesh has written the dialogue, Rajamani has composed the tunes and A. Sajeer has directed the film which is due soon.
