Month long spell of All The Best
Producer Gaurang Doshi and director Vipul Shah started a one-month marathon shooting schedule of VR Pictures’ All The Best from February 5 on a spectacular set at Film City featuring all the artists. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Arjun Rampal, Aditi Govitrikar, Isha Gopikar, Aditya Pancholi and Paresh Rawal, the film is written by Aatish Kapadia, and has music by Jatin-Lalit, cinematography by Ashok Mehta, lyrics by Praveen Bhardwaj, art by Jayant Deshmukh and editing by Shirish. It is a Vinod Doshi presentation.

15-day initial spell of Pitaah
Director Mahesh Manjrekar and producer Avinash Adik completed the fifteen-day initial shooting of Aryaman Films’ Pitaah recently at Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar wherein many dramatic and action scenes were picturised on all the artists. Starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das, Sachin Khedekar, Mita Vashist, Anjan Srivastava, Siddharth Ray and Dinesh Anand with Diwakar Pundir and Om Puri in special appearances, the film has music by Anand Raj Anand, story-screenplay by Teja, cinematography by Vijay Arora, art by Nitin Desai, action by Mahendra Varma, dialogue by KK Singh, editing by VN Mayekar and sound by Rajendra Hegde. Sagoon Wagh is the executive producer.

Dil Laga Ke Dekho
Producer Praveen Khanna and director Naresh Malhotra completed a 15-day shooting schedule of Amit Enterprises’ Dil Laga Ke Dekho from January 26 to February 8. Govinda, Manisha Koirala, Satish Shah, Jaspal Bhatti and Upasana Singh participated in the schedule on a set erected at Poonawala Bunglow, Hotel Centaur, Hotel Royal Garden and various other Mumbai locales. Also several romantic and emotional scenes were picturised. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya and fight master Rashid Mehta has also canned the title song and action sequences respectively. Cinematography by Raju KG, music by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen, lyrics by Sameer and sound by Anuj Mathur are the other credits. Prakash Jaju is the financial advisor.

Mastana
Action master Kala Singh will picturise war scenes for United Films Combines’ Mastana from February 15 to 22 at Film City and other locales of Mumbai. Govinda, Jackie Shroff and three hundred junior artistes will participate. The film, already 95 per cent complete, is being produced by Vasant Doshi and directed by Parto Ghosh. Also in the cast are Mahima Chaudhary, Arun Govil, Jaspal Bhatti, Anjan Srivastava, Tiku Talsania, Avtar Gill and Upasna Singh with Rambha in a special appearance. Story-screenplay by Ranbir Pushp, dialogue by Anwar Khan, lyrics by Maya Govind, Dev Kohil, Ibrahim Ashq and Nitin Raikar, music by Chinni Prakash and Ganesh Acharya, art by Ajit Dandekar, sound by Prakash Bhatia and editing by Sanjay Verma are the other credits. Kamlesh Doshi is the executive producer.

Inth Ka Jawab Patthar
Puru Rajkumar and Sudesh Berry participated in the shooting of MS Movies Combines’ Inth Ka Jawab Patthar during the shooting spell from February 9 to 12 at Film City, Kamal Amrohi Studios, Chandivali and various locales of Mumbai. Writer-director Mittu Singh will picturise a unique song on Mohini Monick. Also starring Divya Dutta, Vishwajeet, Deepak Shirke, Tej Sapru, Raju Shreshta, Anil Nagrath and Pramod Moutho, the film is written and directed by Mithu Singh. Produced by Devendra Singh, it has dialogue by S Sachinder, action by Suresh Rao, sound by TK Kothari, choreography by Dinesh Balraj, art by Lalit Naag, cinematography by FR Khan, music by Ram Laxman and lyrics by Shaheen Iqbal.

Dil Chahta Hai
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani and director Farhan Akhtar recently completed the shooting of Dil Chahta Hai. Shot on locales of Mumbai, Goa and Sydney, the shooting commenced on August 1 and was completed as scheduled within the specified 108 days. Starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, Dimple Kapadia and Ayub Khan, the film has lyrics by Javed Akhtar, music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, story, screenplay and dialogues by Farhan Akhtar, choreography by Farha Khan, cinematography by Ravi K Chandran. Suzanne Merwanji is the production designer while Arjun Bhasin is the costume designer. Pravin Talreja is the co-producer. The film, shot in live sound, will be release in August. It is presented by Javed Akhtar and Chandan Sidhwani.

Week-long shooting spell for Chori Chori
Writer-director Milan Luthria commenced a week-long shooting schedule on February 16 for Om Shakti Combines’ Chori Chori on various locales of Mumbai wherein important scenes will be picturised. Produced by Lalit Kapoor and Raju Narula, the film stars Ajay Devgan, Rani Mukerji, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shashikala, Mushtaq Khan, Satish Shah, Manav, Virendra Saxena, Shama Deshpande and Mehernosh Doctor. Music by Sajid-Wajid, lyrics by Anand Bakshi, art by R Varman, cinematography by Nirmal Jani and editing by Sanjeev Verma are other credits.

Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat
Deepak Tijori, Anjan Srivastav and Johnny Lever have been signed to play major roles in Ashco Medias’ Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat. The film went on the floors on February 11 at Kamal Amrohi Studios, Madh Island, Film City, Royal Challenge Hotel, Ballard Pier, Tondon Garge and on locales of Mumbai with a non-stop 20-day shooting stint. Newfind Krishna, Sakshi Shivananda, Sharad Kapoor, Sheeba Bhakri, Mukesh Rishi, Nirmal Pandey and Jimy Lever (brother of Johnny Lever) are also in the cast. Being produced by Ashok K Kotwani and directed by debutant Dinkar Kapoor, the film has screenplay and dialogue by Aadesh K Arjun, music by Sandeep Chowta (who has already recorded two songs at Spectral Harmony in the voices of Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik), lyrics by Nitin Raikwar and editing by Deepak Kapoor.

Mahesh Raaj in Yeh Mohabbat Hai
Mahesh Raaj has been signed to play a key role in Cine Vista Eagle Plus Media (P) Ltds’ Yeh Mohabbat Hai, being produced by Prem Kishan and Sunil Mehta, and directed by Umesh Mehra.

Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen
Producer Tutu Sharma and director Harmesh Malhotra started the last shooting schedule of Tutu Films’ Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen from February 15 in Mumbai. All the artists are participating in this schedule. Starring Govinda, Preity Zinta, Kadar Khan, Satish Kaushik, Johnny Lever, Sadashiv Amarapurkar, Razak Khan and Prem Chopra, the film has music by Anand-Milind, lyrics by Sameer, story-dialogue by Anwar Khan, screenplay by Rajiv Kaul and Praful Parekh, sound by Jeetendra Chaudhari, editing by Govind Dalwadi and cinematography by Laxmi Narayan.
