How
do you react to the Bhuj earthquake?
There
are ways and ways to react. The most important things that
must grip every mind is food, water and shelter and prevention
from all kinds of ailments of the body and the shattered mind.
It is good that people in the industry are going out of their
way to make respectable donations. It has always come up to
help in times of crisis and I am proud of it. The only fear
is the right help going to the right places and to the right
people.
Manoj Kumar, actor
The people of India have once again risen to the occasion
during a major crisis where men
have been clobbered to death by nature. It is very difficult
to rise to such an occasion but it is also a great feeling
to see people all over and especially from our industry coming
to the help of the hopeless and the helpless. God forbid,
something goes wrong again. I dont think we have the
resources to fight back another attack. The will we have,
not the resources at this moment of time.
Dilip Kumar, actor
It is time to do our duty towards our suffering brothers and
sisters. I am doing my
bit and I dont think there is any sense in telling the
world about the damage done but to see how best the damage
can be repaired. I wish I was younger and could go out to
help. I owe Bhuj a great deal where I shot a major portion
of my film, Border.
JP Dutta, director
This
calamity is a lesson for all of us. We should be prepared
for any calamity at any time. It is a great feeling to see
the industry coming together to help Gujarat like it has very
rarely done.
Pahlaj Nihalani, industry leader
Help.
Help. Help. Help till it hurts. This is the time to follow
Mother Teresas only motto in life.
Jackie Shroff, actor
