Tremors
in filmland, too
The tremors of the killer earthquake that struck Gujarat on
Republic Day are still being felt in Mumbai filmdom. Not only
big budget film producers but even the small budget film distributors
are thinking twice about releasing their films. One Two Ka
Four which was scheduled for release this month is now due
in March. No one from either from the Gujarat or Saurashtra
circuit is coming forward to buy films as most cinemas in
these areas are hardly functioning. Because of a shortage
of films, most exhibitors are running second run films, while
the plight of the recently released films are equally bad.
