Viji Thampy-Jayaram-Soundarya team up
Popular director Viji Thampy and actor Jayaram are to team up in Naaraanaththu Bhraanthan, to be produced by M Mani for Sunitha Productions. The film, which has Soundarya doing the female lead, also has in the cast Siddique, Janardhanan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, MR Gopakumar. TP Madhavan, Harisri Ashokan, Rasika and Bindu Panicker. The script would be by Benny P Nayarambalam while Vidyasagar would set to tune lyrics by S Rameshan Nair. Sanjeev Shankar would crank the camera while Sreekar Prasad would do the editing.

Angamaaliyile Pradhanamanthri
Sandhya Mohan, the director who had made Amma Ammaayiamma and My Dear Karadi is to make a full-length entertainer, Angamaaliyile Pradhaanamanthri. While Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Captain Raju and Harisri Ashokan will play major roles, Kavya Madhavan will play the female lead. Produced under the banner of Anupama Cinema, the film will have lyrics by S Rameshan Nair and script by Sibi K Thomas and Udayakrishna. SA Rajkumar, who had delivered many a hit numbers in Tamil, is composing the music for the film.

Fazil announces new venture
Noted filmmaker Fazil has announced his latest venture after Life is Beautiful. Though the hero has not yet been finalised, it is said that there would be many newcomers in the film. As for the female lead, Fazil has chosen none other than Miss. Chennai, Pooja Nair. The film will have Nedumudi Venu and Janardhanan doing important roles and would be shot mainly in Ooty and Kochi. Ouseppachchan would set to tune lyrics by S Rameshan Nair. The recording of the film has already been done at Chennai.

Murali to lead in Janmi
Janmi, to be produced by Amala Creations and directed by Rafi Mannaar, would have none other than noted actor Murali in the lead. It has been quite some time since a film with Murali in the lead has been made. Shornur Vijayan will write the script of Janmi, which based on a story by Rafi-Mecartin. Lyrics by Bichchu Thirumala would be set to tune by Aji Saras and CM Muthu will cinematograph the film. Siddique, Babu Antony, Vimal Raj, Shruthi Raj, Ravaali and Sindhu would also form part of the cast.

The Spirit, Haridas’s latest venture
Newspapers in Kerala are abuzz with news stories of alcoholic spirit and hooch tragedy. And coinciding with these developments, director KK Haridas starts his latest venture aptly titled The Spirit. A suspense thriller with focus on contemporary events, The Spirit is produced by Shruthi Productions and has script by B Jayachandran. The shooting for the film will be done in Varkala, Kollam and Kalluvaathukkal. It is interesting to note that Kalluvaathukkal in Kollam district was recently in news on account of a hooch tragedy.
